Producer/Processor Membership Criteria
Taste of Nova Scotia is a unique, province wide marketing program whose members are committed to providing exceptional Nova Scotia culinary products and experiences. All producer/processor applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the following membership criteria.
The Taste of Nova Scotia application process involves completing the online application form; agreeing to the Taste of Nova Scotia membership criteria; and paying the $100 application fee.
Please Note: the $100 application fee will be applied to the remaining Taste of Nova Scotia membership fees for all successful applicants. If your application for membership is not approved, your application fee will be applied to a second submission at no additional charge.
All applicants will be visited by a Taste of Nova Scotia representative to evaluate and review risk assessment and quality management practices and to determine if the information provided qualifies applicants for membership. The Taste of Nova Scotia quality standards committee will review the application and evaluation findings. The committee will then make its recommendation to the Taste of Nova Scotia Board of Directors during a scheduled board meeting. The Taste of Nova Scotia Board of Directors will then vote on final approval for membership.
Producer/Processor Member Fee Structure
Producer/Processor membership is based on the following fee structure:

|$200,001 – $350,000||$810.60 + hst = $932.19|
|$350,001 – $500,000||$1,076.09 + hst = $1,237.51|
|$500,001 – $1,000,000||$1,622.25 + hst = $1,865.59|
|$1,000,001 and greater||$2,163.00 + hst = $2,487.45|
