Halifax, N.S. – A selection of top Nova Scotia made liquor will soon be available for purchase at Halifax Stanfield. Liquid Assets (a subsidiary of Ironworks Distillery) is scheduled to open post-security, on the domestic/international departures level in April, 2016.

This is not a duty free shop, therefore the location of Liquid Assets, post-security, is perfect for all members of the travelling public. Travellers can purchase a premium Nova Scotia made product to take with them on their journey and those passengers arriving domestically can make a purchase as well.

“We extend a warm welcome to our newest retail partner, Liquid Assets,” says Ian Arthur, Halifax International Airport Authority Chief Commercial Officer. “Providing our passengers with additional retail options is important to us especially when those options include items that aren’t currently available here at the airport. We know there is a demand for the products offered by Liquid Assets and the fact they are locally made makes them even more desirable.”

Liquid Assets will carry the best quality liquor Nova Scotia has to offer including a superior selection of local wines, spirits and beer.

“We are pleased to be opening Liquid Assets at Halifax Stanfield,” say Lynne MacKay and Pierre Guevremont, Liquid Assets owners. “Our new store will feature only Nova Scotia produced wines, spirits, beers and ciders and will be the first store of its kind in an airport. Our location will provide travellers the opportunity to purchase excellent quality products to take with them as a memento of Nova Scotia or share as a gift.”

Liquid Assets is currently under construction and once it opens in April will be open daily from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The products available at Liquid Assets will join an ever growing list of local products available at Halifax Stanfield. A selection of Nova Scotia products can be found at many of Halifax Stanfield’s retail stores including: Atlantic Sweet Shoppe, Clearwater Seafoods, the East Coast Lifestyle kiosk, Hudson News, and The Nova Scotia Store.

About Liquid Assets & Ironworks Distillery

Ironworks Distillery was founded in 2009 by Lynne MacKay and Pierre Guevremont in Lunenburg with the goal of distilling premium quality, small batch products using the wealth of fruit grown in Nova Scotia.  Ironworks’ experience in selling quality Nova Scotia products to visitors attracted them to the concept of a store (Liquid Assets) at Halifax Stanfield that would represent the best of the exciting, emerging provincial wine, spirits and beer industry.
