Boozy Blueberry Lemonade

Beat the heat with a refreshing Nova Scotian twist on a old favourite – you’ll be thirsty for this chilled drink on the next hot summer day! Homemade lemonade with Barreling Tide blueberry liqueur, Van Dyke’s blueberry juice and a splash of vodka make this a must try drink for all your summer feasts.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup hot water
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 oz Nova Scotia Vodka*
1 oz Barrelling Tide Distillery Blueberry Liqueur**
1 oz Van Dyk’s Wild Blueberry Juice ***
3/4 cup cold water
3 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
ice
lemon slices (optional)
Nova Scotia blueberries (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a shaker tin, stir hot water and sugar together until dissolved
  2. Add all other ingredients (except ice and optional fruit) and stir
  3. Then add ice and shake until cold
  4. Pour into tall glass
  5. Garnish with sliced lemons and blueberries if desired
