Every weekend until April 18/19: The All You Can Eat Maple Brunch from Acadian Maple Products is a great reason to get out of the house this winter. The menu includes Meadowbrook maple bacon, pancakes, maple baked beans, wild blueberry syrup, and much more!

January 29 to March 5: Savour Food and Wine Festival. The Savour Food & Wine Festival is a series of unique culinary events designed to celebrate passion for great food, wine, and beverages.

January 31 to February 8: Nova Scotia Ice Wine Festival. Eight Nova Scotia Wineries celebrate at Grand Pre Winery for two amazing weekends. Events include wine and food pairings, pig roast, bonfire and raclette in the courtyard, photos on the Icewine carpet, and snowshoe hikes.

February 5 to 15: Jost Vineyards Winter Wine Festival. Events include a sommelier tasting session and an evening of romance! See website for more details.

February 6 to 8: White Point Beach Year of the Marshmallow Reveal. Head to White Point Beach Resort’s Beachside Bonfire at 3pm as they reveal a Taste of Nova Scotia infused twist on a traditional roasted marshmallow treat!

February 7: Creative Cooking with the Kilted Chef. Alain Bosse is teaching a cooking class at Lane’s Privateer Inn. He will be gathering the freshest ingredients from local suppliers. Cook with Alain at the Inn and then share in the hard work for a fun & informal feast.

February 7: Learn to make the perfect Valentine’s Day desserts at the second edition of Atlantica Hotel’s extremely popular Cooking 101 class, instructed by executive chef Luis Clavel, member of Culinary Team Canada. 3-5 pm contact Jeannette Kline at (902) 490-3366 to reserve your spot!

February 12: Garrison Brewing Company Home Brew-Off 2015. This event was created to showcase the talents of local home brewers. The Gold Medal winner will be invited to join Daniel Girard in brewing a full-sized batch of their recipe for packaging and release as a limited edition seasonal beer. Entries due February 12, 2015.
