Craft Beer Week is in full swing and what better way to keep the momentum going than by learning to appreciate beer in a whole new way? Head down to the Discovery Centre this Thursday (May 14) for The Science of Beer. Enjoy a dozen different specialty brews from six local craft breweries, in three inventive beer education sessions. Check out the launch of the Good Cheer Trail at the May 16 Gala event as well!

May 15 to 17 Victoria Day Weekend

This Victoria Day plan a trip to White Point Beach Resort, it’s going to be a great weekend. Enjoy the Annual Opening of the Boathouse, nightly bonfires, live entertainment, washer toss and more. Events for the whole family will mean you never want to leave.

The 12th annual Scotiabank Bluenose Marathon is happening this weekend. You’ve been training hard and you’re going to Giv’er even harder so why not treat yourself to a congratulatory meal after the run. Enjoy pizza at Bramoso Gourmet Pizzeria, an appetizer at Field Guide, or a burger at Stillwell.

Sample some great beers, and stop by the Good Cheer Trail booth for more information on Canada’s first winery, brewery and distillery trail.

If you like Celtic music, Governors Pub & Eatery is the place to be. Wednesday nights, Governors has it’s weekly Irish Session from 8pm-11pm. Come and enjoy the tunes and if you’re a Celtic musician join in. This week’s host is Gillian Head.
