Yoga and wine, craft beer and a soup celebration! Wow, there are many ways to get moving and try some seriously crave-worthy food this week.

January 18: Craft Beer & Local Food Celebration

Enjoy local food and drink at the fifth year of the all-inclusive, craft beer and local food celebration. Some Taste of Nova Scotia members to visit: Bulwark Cider, The Grand Banker, Garrison Brewing Company

January 19: Live Music

Take a drive down Peggy’s Cove Road this weekend and experience a live performance at Rhubarb Restaurant. A must try: their crispy haddock dinner or braised lamb shank. Make it an overnight getaway and stay at the adjoined Oceanstone Seaside Resort.

January 20 to 21: Explore Sable Island

Join White Point for their 2nd Annual Salute to Sable Island Weekend. Meet the people who care for the island and hear a series of special presentations with guest speakers. The weekend will also include a three-course benefit dinner in support of the Sable Island Institute.

January 21: Winter Wine & Yoga

Planters Ridge - Wines

Take part in an hour-long yoga session by the fireplace at Planters Ridge, followed by a tour and wine tasting. Yoga hosted by Yoga Room of Essence. Tickets available online.

January 21: Soup’s On

An occasion to celebrate our favourite way to warm up in the winter – soup! Wolfville Farmers Market will have soup sampling, recipe cards and hand-crafted soup bowls for sale at this tasty gathering. Some Taste members at the market: Fox Hill Cheese House, Gourmandises Avenue Chocolaterie & Benjamin Bridge Winery.

Lobster Lovers Get-A-Way at Atlantica Oak Island (February) –  Sometimes we all just need a break from the everyday routine. Run away to Oak Island for a little hibernation.

Savour Food & Wine Festival (Feb. 22) – Bringing together some of Nova Scotia’s talented mixologists, incredible brewers, award-winning winemakers & of course phenomenal chefs & their dishes over a series of five incredible events.

Gourmet Weekend with Celebrity Chef (May 4 to 6) – Celebrity Chef Vikram Vij will headline Fox Harb’r Resort’s 2018 Spring Culinary Weekend.

Devour! Fox Harb’r Weekend Getaway (May 18 to 20) – Fox Harb’r Resort is delighted to host once again the Nova Scotia created food & film festival, a celebration of culinary and cinema, with an added splash of comedy. Hosted by CBC personality, stand-up comic, actor and chef Ali Hassan.
