Easter celebrations bring along incredible brunches, traditional egg hunts and family fun! Be sure to check out some of the exciting activities and local food that comes with this special time of year.

This March – get ready for Maple Madness because we are celebrating MAPLE MONTH at Taste of Nova Scotia. The maple trees are now being tapped and we are ready to celebrate all things maple.

March 30 & 31: Easter Egg Hunt Wine Tour

Join in the fun on this special Go North Tours Easter celebration! The tour includes a private wine tasting at Avondale Sky Winery, Lightfoot & Wolfville and Grand Pre Wines. At each winery there will be an Easter Egg Hunt. Find the most chocolate eggs and win a bottle of wine!

March 31: Easter Brunch Buffet

Flying Apron Brunch

Celebrate Easter brunch-style at The Flying Apron Inn and Cookery. The buffet features a lovely spread of breakfast items, lunch offerings and extravagant desserts; something for everyone! They will also have special drinks on offer in addition to their local wine and beer list. Reservations required.

March 31: Discover Vineyard Secrets

Come learn our secrets! This exclusive behind the scenes experience is a must-do for anyone interested in Nova Scotia wines. Experience Avondale Sky is a new series of educational and interactive events offered at Avondale Sky Winery. Each event will combine a uniquely staged multi-course meal featuring locally-sourced ingredients, Avondale Sky’s award-winning wines, live music, local culture and hands-on learning.

March 31: Maplicious

Indulge your sweet tooth at the The Wolfville Farmer’s Market this week at Maplicious. They will be featuring maple desserts, drinks and prepared foods to bring the warmth of maple wood into your home with homemade maple products!

April 1: Easter Sunday Brunch

Enjoy spring favourites like smoked ham with Acadian Maple glaze, custom Chef-created omelettes, traditional eggs benedict, smoked Atlantic seafood and stuffed French toast at Harbour City Bar & Grill this Easter Sunday. The event will be hosted from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and have 2 free hours of parking at Scotia Square!

 

Chocolate & Wine Seminar (April 14) – Join Certified Chocolate Makers at Planters Ridge for an in-depth look at the history and biology of bean-to-bar chocolate making. You will also have the opportunity to pair wines with the chocolate and learn how the flavours can compliment each other.

Saltscapes Expo (April 20 to 22) – Get a taste of some of the best culinary experiences Nova Scotia has to offer at the annual Saltscapes Expo.

2018 Nova Scotia Craft Beer Week (April 27 to May 6) – Hosted by the Craft Brewers Association of Nova Scotia, it is the largest celebration of craft beer in eastern Canada. It features over 15 events hosted all over Nova Scotia and draws thousands of craft beer enthusiasts.

DELISH: An Epicurean Soirée (April 28) – An all-inclusive evening of sweet & savoury dishes, wine, cocktails, cider + more!

FULL HOUSE Craft Beer Fest 2018 (May 5) – The flagship event for Nova Scotia Craft Beer Week is returning for its fourth year, showcasing a huge selection of beers from all around the province.
