Get ready for a busy week with many St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, the end of Dine Around and maple activities across the province!

Delectable brunches, sweet treats and an abundance of maple activities are awaiting your discovery this March. Lace up your boots, get out of the house and join in on the maple mania because it is MAPLE MONTH at Taste of Nova Scotia!

Now to March 15: Dine Around

It’s the last two days to squeeze in another incredible Dine Around menu! The Canteen is offering a special three course meal. First course: choice of green salad, roasted carrot salad or cream of mushroom soup. Second course: choice of coconut curry, crispy arctic char or The Canteen burger. Dessert: choice of one dessert from the full dessert menu.

March 17: Union Street Paddy’s Day Party

Catch the live performance by Broke with Money at The Union Street for your St. Paddy’s day celebrations. Performance starts at 8 p.m. and there is no cover charge.

March 17: Maplicious

Celebrate the Irish holiday maple-style at The Wolfville Farmer’s Market. They have tapped into their roots and are featuring all things maple for Maplicious. Join in on a maple feast of delicious treats as well as a kid’s spring craft activity.

March 17: Paddy’s Day at Durty Nelly’s

The best day of the year, extended into an entire, legendary craic-filled weekend at Durty Nelly’s. Get your free breakfast with a 7 AM Club pin, between 7 and 8 a.m. Plus their patio will be open! Full entertainment listing coming soon.

March 17: Stubborn Goat St. Patrick’s Day

Start your day of fun off the right way by making brunch reservations at The Stubborn Goat. Ride out the rest of the day with some live music, Irish brunch features and plenty of ale.

March 17: Lane’s Privateer Inn’s Annual Fundraiser

One of the best St. Paddy’s Day parties on the South Shore! Support the Milton Dambusters and have a great time doing it. Live music with the Shenanigans, a silent auction, prizes for costumes, a pub menu and green beer all at Lane’s Privateer Inn!

March 17: Live Music

Go green for Paddy’s Day at Paddy’s Pub! There will be an all day Irish celebration with live music and good cheer. Performers appearing in the pub: 12 to 3 p.m. Gordon Tucker, 4 to 7 p.m. Paddy’s Irish Session Band and 8 p.m. to close Jack MacDonald.

March 18: Acadian Maple Brunch

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. head over to Acadian Maple to try out their brunch of hearty pancakes with mixed berries, maple sugar whipped topping, Acadian Maple syrup and maple sausages.

 

Saltscapes Expo (April 20 to 22) – Get a taste of some of the best culinary experiences Nova Scotia has to offer at the annual Saltscapes Expo.

2018 Nova Scotia Craft Beer Week (April 27 to May 6) – Hosted by the Craft Brewers Association of Nova Scotia, it is the largest celebration of craft beer in eastern Canada. It features over 15 events hosted all over Nova Scotia and draws thousands of craft beer enthusiasts.

DELISH: An Epicurean Soirée (April 28) – An all-inclusive evening of sweet & savoury dishes, wine, cocktails, cider + more!

FULL HOUSE Craft Beer Fest 2018 (May 5) – The flagship event for Nova Scotia Craft Beer Week is returning for its fourth year, showcasing a huge selection of beers from all around the province.

12 Tides (May 11) – Discover Nova Scotia’s premium white wine at the Tidal Bay Annual Release and Tasting Event, hosted at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel on May 11, 2018, from 7-10pm.

Devour! Fox Harb’r Weekend Getaway (May 18 to 20) – Fox Harb’r Resort is delighted to host once again the Nova Scotia created food & film festival, a celebration of culinary and cinema, with an added splash of comedy. Hosted by CBC personality, stand-up comic, actor and chef Ali Hassan.

East Coast Cider Festival (June 16) – That’s right folks, the East Coast Cider Festival back for another year. 2018 will be bigger and better, there will also be the option to choose between one of two sessions.
