What’s Cooking: October 31- November 6?

October is coming to a close and with it comes the cozy comforts of November. This week, there are lots of incredible culinary experiences to partake in. Attend a cooking class at Kitchen Door Catering or see some of your favourite Nova Scotia distilleries at Christmas at the Forum, whatever it may be, enjoy ever last sip and every last bite of October this week.

Sign up for a cooking class with Kitchen Door and learn how to cook like an Italian! Chef Andrew Farrell shows us how to create approachable and seasonal Italian food, inspired by the chef that convinced Andrew to start down his culinary path – Chef Jamie Oliver.

November 3:  Swinging Saturday at Halifax Distilling Co.

Grab a friend and head over to the Halifax Distilling Co on Saturday night and indulge your tastebuds with locally-inspired dishes while listening to some live music.

November 3: The Biscuit Eater Cafe

Visit the cozy old house, The Biscuit Eater, for a special book signing & pop up with author Wanda Baxter and illustrator Kat Frick Miller. Join them for a homemade  treats and a special high tea inspired by the book in one of the oldest buildings in Mahone Bay.

November 2-4: Christmas at the Forum!

It’s that time of year again! Christmas at the Forum returns as one of the most popular Christmas craft shows in Eastern Canada. There are lots of great opportunities to shop local and lots of your favourite Taste members will be there. Stop by and pick up your favourite local treats from Barrelling Tide Distillery, Glenora Distillery, Halifax Distilling Co. Ironworks Distillery, Still Fired Distilleries, Steinhart DistilleryTangled Garden, Saint-Famille Wines, Petite Riviere VineyardsPlanter’s Ridge and The Cake Lady. Enjoy!
