Attention craft beer lovers! Did you know that Nova Scotia is home to more craft breweries per capita than any other province? Get ready for a beer-filled week, from one end of our province to the other. With over 15 events and 34 craft breweries participating, let’s raise a glass to celebrate Nova Scotia Craft Beer Week.

Some of the can’t miss events this week:

May 5

Cape Breton Kitchen PartyA good ol’ fashion Cape Breton kitchen party, hosted by Good Cheer Trail participants Breton Brewing and Big Spruce Brewing,  is guaranteed to be a fun-filled time! Enjoy brews from 13 different local breweries and music from local favourites, The Town Heroes. In need of some food? Taste members Victoria Co-Operative Fisheries Ltd. will be there!

May 6

Tapped Truro Craft Beer FestLet’s get tapped! At this first time event, you will find axe-throwing, a mechanical bull, and craft beer! Be sure to check out Garrison Brewery.

A Salt On The Senses:  In Sheet Harbour? Tune in to local music, indulge in free mussels, and enjoy lots of variety with seven casks coming from local breweries including Boxing Rock Brewing Company and Garrison Brewery.

Transport Your Beer in Style Looking for a new way to transport your growlers? This unique class instructed by Ladies Beer League and Hands on Halifax will teach you how to build your very own beer crate- struggle no longer!

May 11

Beer and Bites: Five different food trucks, 12 different breweries- need we say more? Be sure to stop by participating members Boxing Rock BrewingGarrison Brewing and Meander River Farm & Brewery at this New Glasgow event!

May 12 to 13

Craft Beer Week Full House:  Who doesn’t love 12 beer samples, and a take home glass? With seven of our members on-site including Garrison Brewing Company, Propeller Brewing Company, Meander River Brewery, Boxing Rock Brewing Company, Rudder’s Brew Pub, Rare Bird Craft Beer and Paddy’s Brewpub the Halifax Forum will be nothing less than full-flavored and full-bodied.
