Taste of Nova Scotia, with the support of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, is thrilled to present a workshop with Christina Miranda from Redpoint:

How to Be More Persuasive in Marketing

Date: Thursday, March 5, 2020
Time: 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (including lunch)
Location: Hotel Halifax (formerly the Delta Halifax) – Google Maps

In today’s digital world, there is so much clutter and noise that it’s hard for a business to get consumers’ attention.  And if you’re the person doing marketing, it’s even worse:  you’ve got limited time to spend, a million marketing options to choose from, and half the time you feel like you’re just shouting into the wind.  This seminar will help you maximize your marketing choices with tips and strategies to make your tactics more persuasive…and get people to ACTUALLY pay attention to what you’re sharing.  We’ll focus on the four core anchors of a strong marketing program – your website, your written messages, your visual assets, and your brand image – and we’ll explain in practical, digestible, layman’s terms how to ensure you’re “doing the right things” for each of these anchors.  You’ll learn answers to questions you’d love to know and don’t know who to ask (“how DOES Google decide where to rank my website?”), and you’ll learn how to write better, take better pictures/videos, and make better choices in your marketing efforts.

Who Should Attend This Seminar?

The content in this program is designed for do-it-yourself marketers, who likely do marketing in addition to several other jobs at their business.  Maybe you’re the owner who also manages the social media channels…maybe you’re the staffer who’s been tasked with writing the company blog or updating the company website or posting pictures on Instagram.  You’re a person who’s never been trained on marketing except the occasional workshop or seminar at conferences.  You squeeze marketing into your to-do list “when you have time.”  You have to manage the company that administers your website, but you have no idea if they’re doing the right things or charging you properly.  Maybe you’ve been doing marketing this way for years, and now feel like it’s “too late” for you to have beginner-level questions.  This seminar is designed for newbie-beginners, experienced-beginners, and very-early-intermediate level marketers. So, if you are a whiz at Google Analytics, manage your own PPC accounts, spend hours daily working to beat Facebook’s algorithm, and have top journalists on your speed dial… this program is not for you!
