EVENT: Nova Scotia Lobster Crawl 2020
Crawl a’Board! It’s time for Nova Scotia’s third annual Nova Scotia Lobster Crawl.
Buckle up and head to the South Shore for this crustacean celebration! Sample dozens of variations of the traditional lobster roll and lobster-infused dishes at participating restaurants, sip on lobster ale, shop local, and discover lobster lore – the art, music, stories and traditions shaped by the lobster industry. Pack your bags and check-in for the crawl!

Feb. 1: White Point Lobster Crawl Kick-off Feast
Tie on your bib and Sou’wester and join White Point Beach Resort to kick off the first day of the lobster crawl with a feast for lobster lovers! This traditional lobster boil will be paired a Taste of Nova Scotia infused buffet and samplings from around the Good Cheer Trail. Meet lobster fishermen, kick up your heels to sea shanties and more!
Following dinner, head into Founder’s Lounge to sing along from 8 p.m. – 11 p.m. and be sure to swing out to the bonfire to roast lobster s’mores!

Feb. 2: Wine & Lobster Pairing Event
Indulge in an afternoon of lobster and wine pairing at Petite Riviere Vineyards. Enjoy five Petite Riviere Vineyard wines paired with lobster stuffed appetizers created by Director of Culinary at Oak Island Resort, Chef Nathan Guggenheimer! Space is limited so get your tickets before they’re gone!

Feb. 2: Best lobster roll challenge at White Point
Calling all lobster roll fans! During the lobster roll challenge, 18 south shore restaurants will square off in hopes of being named the best lobster roll of 2020. Previous winners will be back to defend their titles along with a few new additions. Stop by to see who is crowned the champion.

Feb. 7 – 9: White Point Lobster Fishing Feast and Stay
White Point proudly presents a new, exclusive Nova Scotia experience. Go lobster fishing in winter with a real lobster fisherman on board his fishing boat on the Atlantic Ocean and eat lobster caught fresh that day!
Pick out your own lobster from the sea and bring it back to White Point for their chef to steam for you as he shares tips and tricks for preparing lobster. Feb. 8, 15, & 22: Ironworks Distillery Spirited Crustaceans
Join Lunenburg’s very own lady fishmonger Kelly Conrad, owner of Dory Mates’ Seafood Shop as she prepares tantalizing lobster appetizers matched with a pairing of Ironworks sample cocktail and tasting tour in their new Quarrie Room while listening to the evocative voice and acoustic guitar of singer songwriter, Kristen Martell. Event will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Feb. 9: Lobster Chowder Chowdown Showdown
Stop by this year’s For the Love of Lobster event to take part in the second annual Lobster Chowder Chowdown Showdown. Love of lobster event will will also include spirit sampling, a municipal market, silent auction, lobster tails & stories and more. Event will take place at the Forest Heights Community School in Chester Basin on Sunday, February 9th from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Feb. 15: Lobster Crawl Craft Beer Festival 2020
On Saturday Feb. 15th, celebrate the amazing craft beers of Nova Scotia at the second annual Lobster Crawl Craft Beer Festival! More than 20 craft breweries and cideries will be in attendance, along with delicious local bites, signature lobster dishes, games and music. Event will take place at the Bridgewater Best Western Plus. VIP access will begin at 7 p.m. with general ticketed access at 8 p.m.

Feb. 22: White Point’s 12th annual On The Rocks
It’s a magical evening at the beach, featuring more than 75 varieties of wine, beer and spirits from Nova Scotia and around the world, paired with creations by Chef Alan Crosby. Proceeds from the 2020 event will support the youth participating in the 75th annual Queens County Music Festival at the Astor Theatre in May.
