Apple of my Eye Cocktail
This combination of sweet and sour ingredients is sure to make this cocktail the apple of your eye after your first sip!
Ingredients
1 oz. | Ironworks Vodka |
0.5 oz. | apple purée* |
0.25 oz. | freshly squeezed lemon juice |
0.25 oz. | honey syrup* |
Lake City Darkside Dry Cider | |
Garnish | apple slices |
Directions
Makes: 1 serving
- In a cocktail shaker, add vodka, apple purée, lemon juice, and honey syrup over ice.
- Shake for three seconds.
- Fine strain into a Collins glass.
- Top with cider.
- Garnish with apple slices.
*Apple Purée
Cut five Nova Scotia Golden Delicious apples into small cubes and remove the core. Add apple pieces along with 1/4 cup water and one tbsp. lemon juice to a pot. Simmer over medium heat until apples are tender (approximately 10 minutes). Let cool and purée in blender or food processor with 1 tbsp. local maple syrup and a small pinch of salt. Purée until silky smooth.
*Honey Syrup (2:1 honey to water)
Mix two parts Nova Scotia honey with one part hot water. Stir constantly to fully incorporate. Let cool. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate.
