Uncork Nova Scotia is proud to present the Tidal Bay Wine Tasting Adventure – the only tour of it’s kind in North America!
Take a culinary journey of three award-winning wineries, where each course is deliciously paired with a private wine tasting. This exclusive tour includes a dinner party in a vineyard, where an authentic lobster boil is exquisitely paired with Nova Scotia’s signature white wine, Tidal Bay.
First Course
Enjoy a charcuterie board and a glass of Blomidon’s Tidal Bay, while overlooking the Bay of Fundy, home to the world’s highest tides. The boutique Blomidon Estate Winery has won numerous national and international awards.
Main Course
At Nova Scotia’s oldest established winery, Domaine de Grand Pré, you’ll begin your tour with a flight of wines, featuring the local grape varieties of L’Acadie Blanc, Seyval Blanc, Muscat and Ortega—all the grapes used in Grand Pré’s Tidal Bay, to see how they taste on their own. You’ll then make your way into the middle of the vineyard for a private dinner party, overlooking the stunning Landscape of Grand Pré UNESCO World Heritage Site. An authentic Nova Scotia lobster boil, prepared by celebrated Chef Jason Lynch of Le Caveau (top 20 winery restaurant in the world!) will be perfectly paired with Grand Pré’s Tidal Bay.
Dessert Course
Set in the rolling hills of the Gaspereau Valley, you’ll sample a Tidal Bay Flight at Gaspereau Vineyards. Featuring wines from three different vineyards around the province (Gaspereau Vineyards, Jost Vineyards and Mercator Wines), you’ll discover the “terroir” of each vineyard and how the combination of grapes produces three very different Tidal Bay wines. Then, as the sun sets over the vineyard, you’ll savour a decadent dessert, paired with Nova Scotia’s famous Icewine.
