2022 Saltscapes Expo – Member Information

UPDATE – March 7, 2022:

Last week, Tourism Nova Scotia announced they would be offering a discount of 50 per cent on booth rates at the Saltscapes Halifax Expo to private sector Nova Scotia tourism destinations and experiences. Qualifying businesses must offer a consumer experience:

Restaurants and food service establishments
Businesses with a consumer experience, such as retail, tours, and/or tastings

The 50% discount brings the booth cost to $720 for a 10×10 exhibit space.

We are thrilled to announce this offer will also extend to Taste of Nova Scotia member businesses that feature a consumer experience who meet the above qualifications and are ultimately deemed eligible by Tourism Nova Scotia. These eligible Taste members will have the opportunity to receive this discount while also exhibiting in the Taste of Nova Scotia area.

If you are interested in participating in the Saltscapes Expo within the Taste of Nova Scotia culinary area, please contact Emily Hiltz as soon as possible in addition to registering to participate with Taste of Nova Scotia online.

Please note, Taste of Nova Scotia will reimburse members the difference in the Tourism Nova Scotia rate after receiving the Tourism rebate.

2022 Saltscapes East Coast Expo

We’re thrilled to announce that after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Saltscapes Expo is returning and Taste of Nova Scotia will once again be an official partner. For several years, we have been able to offer our members booth space at a discounted rate and we will be continuing to do so this year.

As the official culinary partner of the Saltscapes Expo, there are many benefits to exhibiting with us:

Subsidized booth cost
High traffic, central grouping for Taste of Nova Scotia booths
Opportunities for product profiles on the culinary stage
Taste of Nova Scotia promotion from the culinary stage
Prominent Taste of Nova Scotia signage and branding
Support from the Taste of Nova Scotia team

Please note: Your 10×10 space will include one six foot table, limited electricity access (one plug, 7.5 amp/vendor), as well as pipe and drape. You are responsible for your own décor, ice, fridge space as well as freezer storage (if required).

COST:

To participate with Taste – $1200/booth plus HST
Saltscapes early booking rate (valid until January 31) – $1445/booth plus HST

LOCATION:

Please note, this year’s Saltscapes Expo will take place at Halifax Exhibition Centre.

FOOD/BEVERAGE:

As was the case at Saltscapes in 2019, there will be no additional charges from the venue for serving/selling some foods. As long as all proper permits are in place, you are welcome to serve your products, without additional charges.
Beverage alcohol members will need to secure their own permits.

BOOTH SPACE:

To confirm your booth in the Taste of Nova Scotia area at the Saltscapes Expo, please complete the Saltscapes East Coast Expo Registration Form and return it as soon as possible as spaces will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Payment in full is required to guarantee your booth space.

CULINARY STAGE:

We are currently finalizing our conversations regarding the culinary stage. Stay tuned for more information concerning this in early 2022.
