What’s Cooking in Nova Scotia February 17 to March 3?
As February comes to a close and March begins there are still tons of great culinary events to look forward to!
February 20 to 22: White Point Beach “On the Rocks”. Head to White Point on February 21st for the evening to sample over 75 varieties of wine, beer and spirits from Nova Scotia and around the world, as well you can choose from a selection of tantalizing hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Alan.
February 21: Looking to expand your wine knowledge? Looking for a fun and informative activity for a quiet winter afternoon? Become your own wine critic by learning how to pick out aromas and flavours in wine in this fun and informative seminar at Planters Ridge called “Sensory Development”.
February 21: Culinary 101 Healthy Cooking with Luis Clavel from Seasons by Atlantica. Healthy Cooking is the third Culinary 101 class, hosted by executive chef Luis Clavel, member of Culinary Team Canada. All levels of expertise are welcome, especially beginners. Information here.
February 27: Lane’s Privateer Inn Friday Night Fish Fry. Join Lane’s for the best Open Mic on the South Shore. You only need to bring your voice and maybe a guitar! The kitchen will be featuring Fish & Chips for $13.95.
Now until February 28: Dine Around. Every year, restaurants across the province showcase an array of Nova Scotia product and creativity at an attractive price during Dine Around. Running for the month of February, three course prix-fixe menus are offered at participating restaurants for the price of $25, $35, or $45 per dinner. Book directly with participating restaurants.
February 28: Winter Food & Wine Pairing at Ye Old Argyler Lodge. Featuring the wines of Luckett Vineyards and live entertainment by Aldric Robicheau. Reservations required- call 902-643-2500.
