A top shelf distillery that is the culmination of Captain Gregg Colp’s lifetime of experience as a distiller, victualler, and seafarer who was fortunate to travel much of the globe. Our focus is providing the finest spirits made in house with local organic ingredients from Nova Scotia wherever possible.
Below the Salt is a term with its origins in the Middle Ages and refers to labour. Victoria Piersig is a professional fine art photographer whose work aboard ships documenting the travel of the bulk commodities that sustain is reflected in the brand.
At Below The Salt we have been privileged to learn the craft from family run houses in France who have been distilling fine spirits for generations. We are proud to provision your household.
