Vote for Canada’s Bay of Fundy

We love the Bay of Fundy and the bounty of lobster, scallops, mussels, smoked salmon and other fresh fish it provides. Our wines and produce are also influenced by the Bay.

Taste of Nova Scotia is proud to support the efforts to be one of the New7Wonders of Nature. We encourage you to vote (often) before the November 11 deadline. And if you need more information or additional reasons to vote – here is a message from Premier Darrell Dexter encouraging all Canadians to vote for the Bay of Fundy, the only Canadian finalist:

The countdown is on!   Time is running out and we need your help to make the Bay of Fundy one of the official New7Wonders of Nature before the final
voting deadline on November 11.

The Bay of Fundy is Canada’s only finalist among 28 international competitors remaining in the contest, chosen from more than 440 original entries.

A win for the Bay would have huge significance for Canada and Nova Scotia on a global scale, making it one of the best-known destinations in the world.

Nova Scotia and New Brunswick are working together to make the Bay of Fundy one of the top seven finalists on declaration day.  I have been spreading the word as far and wide as possible, including on my current trip overseas. Today, Premier Alward and I are reaching out to public servants in both
provinces to ask for your vote.  We need you, and all Canadians, to vote as many times as possible before November 11.  Please reach out to your family,
friends and colleagues across the country and encourage them to vote too.

As the clock ticks down, please take a moment to vote today by visiting www.votemyfundy.com, going to the New7Wonders of Nature Facebook page, or texting FUNDY to 77077 ($0.25 per text vote) on any Canadian smart phone.

Bay of Fundy.  Last week, students from both sides of the Bay sent messages to Ottawa asking Members of Parliament to vote, and many have pledged their support.
