What’s Cooking in Nova Scotia February 10 to 24?

Check out our list of culinary events happening in Nova Scotia this month! In the coming weeks you can find everything from brunch to beer competitions to wine seminars. With all of these great events happening in Nova Scotia there is definitely something for everyone.

Every weekend until April 18/19: The All You Can Eat Maple Brunch from Acadian Maple Products is a great reason to get out of the house this winter. The menu includes Meadowbrook maple bacon, pancakes, maple baked beans, wild blueberry syrup, and much more!

January 29 to March 5: Savour Food and Wine Festival. The Savour Food & Wine Festival is a series of unique culinary events designed to celebrate passion for great food, wine, and beverages.

February 5 to 15: Jost Vineyards Winter Wine Festival. Events include a sommelier tasting session and an evening of romance! See website for more details.

February 12: Garrison Brewing Company Home Brew-Off 2015. This event was created to showcase the talents of local home brewers. The Gold Medal winner will be invited to join Daniel Girard in brewing a full-sized batch of their recipe for packaging and release as a limited edition seasonal beer. Entries due February 12, 2015.

February 20 to 22:  White Point Beach’s On the Rocks event. Head to White Point on February 21st for the evening to sample over 75 varieties of wine, beer and spirits from Nova Scotia and around the world, as well you can choose from a selection of tantalizing hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Alan.

February 21: Educational Wine Seminar at Planters Ridge. Looking to expand your wine knowledge? Looking for a fun and informative activity for a quiet winter afternoon? Become your own wine critic by learning how to pick out aromas and flavours in wine in this fun and informative seminar on “Sensory Development”.
