2025 Burger Wars

Get ready, burger lovers, Burger Wars 2025 is back in the Valley! This year’s competition is serving up the most mouthwatering, over-the-top creations from some of the best restaurants in the Bay of Fundy & Annapolis Valley. From juicy, classic patties to bold, inventive twists, there’s a burger for every craving. And it’s not just about incredible eats, it’s all for a great cause. Each bite helps support Campaign For Kids. Read on for a list of participating Taste of Nova Scotia restaurants!


Church Brewing Company – French Onion Burger – $21

Indulge in a juicy ground beef patty topped with rich, house-made French onion dip, creamy Annapolis Valley Gold cheese, and a touch of grainy Dijon for a tangy kick. Finished with fresh spring greens and served on a soft, toasted brioche bun. Gluten-free option available.


Cumin Kitchen & Drink – Reuben Burger – $18

This mouthwatering creation features a juicy beef and pork patty topped with tender corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and melted Swiss cheese. A drizzle of Thousand Island dressing ties it all together, all served on a flavorful rye caraway bun. Paired with a side of fresh Claremont Salad for the perfect balance. Gluten-free option available.


Dickie Baxter Taproom & Bistro – Frito Pie Burger – $19

Get ready for a flavour-packed bite! Dickie Baxter Taproom & Bistro Burger Wars creation features a juicy 6oz beef patty from Canning Village Meat Market, infused with beef and ancho chili for a smoky kick. Topped with Cow’s Aged Cheddar, fresh greens, tomato, crunchy tortilla chips, and creamy aioli, all nestled in a Boulangerie la Vendéenne brioche bun. Gluten-free option available.


Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa – Pines Signature Sliders – $24

Indulge in a trio of tasty sliders at Digby Pines!

Slider 1: Bacon-wrapped perfection with melted cheese, mayo, and crispy onion.
Slider 2: In-house made smashed burger with smoky chipotle mayo and crispy onion for an extra kick.
Slider 3: A classic beef burger with cheese, fresh tomato, and onion, for a timeless favorite.

All served with a side of house-made herbed fries, crispy, flavorful, and the perfect complement to your sliders!


Hole In The Wall Restaurant – Crack Burger Pizza – $17 – $24

This delicious creation starts with a base of rich tomato sauce, gooey mozzarella, and perfectly seasoned ground beef, topped with crispy bacon and melted cheddar cheese. Fresh shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, and green onions add a classic burger touch, all finished with a drizzle of secret house-made sauce and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for the perfect crunch. Available in 9″ for $17 or 12″ for $24. Gluten-free option available.


Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards – Lightfoot Farms’ Burger – $24

Featuring Lightfoot Farms’ premium Wagyu x Jersey beef and Berkshire pork, this masterpiece is topped with Ciro’s smoked scamorza cheese, house-made Fauna BBQ sauce, crispy onions, and a rich roasted onion & garlic aioli. Zucchini pickles add the perfect tangy bite, all served with a side of crispy fries. Gluten-free option available.


Maritime Express Cider Co. – The Big Popper – $23

A soft, toasted brioche bun holds a double patty stacked high with whipped habanero cream cheese, sweet and savoury bacon jam, pickled jalapeños, and smoky applewood cheese. To top it all off, a bacon-wrapped jalapeño popper adds the perfect finishing touch. Vegetarian and gluten-free option available.


Paddy’s Brewpub & Rosie’s Restaurant (Kentville) – Dessert Burger – $12 – 15$.

Dessert lovers, this one’s for you! Sink your teeth into a sweet twist on a classic, this indulgent creation swaps the bun for a fluffy sugar donut, with a rich Nutella and chocolate chip “patty” at the center. Fresh strawberries mimic juicy tomatoes, mango adds a cheesy touch, and kiwi brings in the “lettuce” crunch. Served with crispy, golden churros as the perfect “fries” on the side. $12 without fries, 15$ with fries.


Paddy’s Brewpub & Rosie’s Restaurant (Wolfville) – Xmax on a bun – $15.99

This 5oz turkey burger is topped with sweet cranberry, savoury stuffing, and a drizzle of rich turkey gravy, all nestled in a perfectly toasted bun. Vegetarian-option available.


Schoolhouse Brewery – Maple Barrel Burger – $20

Inspired by Canadian classics, featuring locally sourced beef from Chez Dugué Meats, rich Valley Gold cheese from Annapolis Cheese, and a bold maple beer sauce crafted with Scotian Export from Schoolhouse Brewery. Finished with crispy bacon, golden onion rings, and fresh lettuce, all served alongside a hearty portion of fries. Vegetarian option available.


The Old Orchard Inn & Spa – The BIG Canuck! – $19

Savour a juicy, locally sourced ground beef patty topped with Canadian peameal bacon and melted Canadian cheddar at The Old Orchard Inn & Spa! Add a dollop of rich brown sugar whiskey onion jam, fresh sliced tomato, pickles, and OH Canada maple garlic aioli, all nestled in a toasted potato bun. Served with crispy fries and a side of refreshing apple orchard coleslaw for the perfect finishing touch!
