What’s Cooking in Nova Scotia November 3 to November 10?
With a new month comes new flavours, opportunities and experiences. From on-site chef tastings inspired by food films to intimate dining experiences, here’s what’s cooking in Nova Scotia this week:
November 4
This year’s Devour! The Food Film Fest includes five days of film, food and wine. The Opening Gala Reception presented by Taste of Nova Scotia will feature 12 of Nova Scotia’s finest chefs as they come together to help celebrate local cuisine. Check out their creative film-themed menus.
November 5
Looking for new ways to enjoy the abundant squash available in the fall? Chef Chris Velden from Flying Apron will demonstrate delicious squash dishes at his All Squashed Up event. Pre-registration is required so call to book your seat: 902-633-2300.
November 6
Dedication. Passion. Innovation. All of our Taste of Nova Scotia Prestige Award winners push the envelope to bring authentic culinary experiences to their consumers. On Friday, November 6 join us as we celebrate their passion and dedication at the Devour! The Food Film Fest. There is no charge for this event – all are welcome.

November 20-21: The Five Fishermen Restaurant presents Celebrity Guest Chef Series with Rob Gentile, Executive Chef of Buca in Toronto, paired with Carmelo Olivar, Executive Chef of the Five Fishermen to bring you a magnificent five course meal and wine paring this weekend.
