EVENT: Nova Scotia Icewine Festival 2020
Looking to get outside and have a winter culinary adventure? The Nova Scotia Icewine Festival is the premier winter wine festival hosted in the heart of the Annapolis Valley at Lightfoot & Wolfville Winery. Featuring wines from across Nova Scotia, paired with thoughtful edibles from local chefs, the festival is an incredible way to spend an afternoon (or a weekend) tasting, touring, and experiencing Nova Scotia Wine Country in the winter.
Participating wineries: Benjamin Bridge, Luckett Vineyards, Planters Ridge, Blomidon Estate Winery, Sainte-Famille Wines Ltd., Lightfoot & Wolfville, Gaspereau Vineyards, L’Acadie Vineyards, Grand Pré Wines, Avondale Sky Winery, and Mercator Vineyards.
Opening Gala (Feb. 14th)
Kick off the Icewine Festival with the newest Icewine event – the black tie Icewine Festival Opening Gala on February 14th at Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards.
The event promises to be everything you want when celebrating with your special someone on Valentine’s Day. Wine poured by 11 Nova Scotia wineries, delicious food by The Union Street and live music courtesy of The Mellotones to dance the night away. Finish off the evening with a spectacular fireworks show in the vineyard. 19+ event.
Tasting Events (Feb. 15, 16, 17, 18 )
Make your way to Lightfoot & Wolfville Winery on February 15, 16, 17 or 18 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for the Icewine Festival official tasting events. Tickets include 16 tokens to be used for wine and food samples as well as an Icewine Festival tasting glass to take home. Additional food and tokens will be available for purchase.
Winery Collaboration Dinner (Feb. 22nd)
Experience a dinner prepared by three talented chefs from Lightfoot & Wolfville Winery, Luckett Vineyards and Grand Pré Wines on February 22. Dinner includes a welcome reception with sparkling wine and oysters, set dinner with six courses paired with wine from some of the participating wineries.
