Gold Cider: Bulwark Cider

AN APPLE A DAY

Bulwark Cider

September 18: It’s no secret that apples have a long and renowned history in Nova Scotia, but did you know that the history of cider in Nova Scotia is almost as long? The first reference to Nova Scotia cider dates back to the 1600s, thanks to Samuel de Champlain and l’Order de Bon Temps (Order of Good Cheer). Imagine – over 400 years later, and we’re still celebrating apple cider. We’ll raise a glass to that!

One of the many cideries in the province today is Bulwark Cider in New Ross, who pride themselves on being a true expression of what Nova Scotia is all about: fresh, wholesome, premium-quality fruits and berries. Their Gold cider, a handcrafted, traditional apple cider with smooth honey notes and a golden hue, is making a comeback to retail shelves this month. Make sure you pick up a bottle today!
