Taste of Nova Scotia Members Sweep the Best of Halifax Food Awards
The Coast’s 13th annual Best of Halifax Food Awards results were released last week and an overwhelming 15 Taste of Nova Scotia restaurants and producers in the Halifax area have been recognized in one or more of the following categories: Best Establishments, Menu Items, Drinks, Scene and Shops.
A very special shout-out to our members who placed in multiple categories including Brooklyn Warehouse, Chives Canadian Bistro, Morris East Restaurant, 2 Doors Down Food + Wine and Evan’s Fresh Seafoods & Restaurant. We’d also like to recognize Gold Medal winner Chef Craig Flinn of Chives Canadian Bistro and Silver Medal winner Chef Mark Gray of Brooklyn Warehouse who were awarded in the Best Chef category. Additional praise goes out to server Amber MacLean of Morris East Restaurant who was awarded Gold for Best Server. Amber was also recognized as Server of the Year at Taste of Nova Scotia’s 2013 Prestige Awards.
