Ahh, late February. The days are getting longer, it’s no longer pitch black by 5, and the end of winter is… well, somewhat in sight. While we might still need our coats and gloves for a bit, there’s a lot on the go that can help make this last stretch a little more enjoyable. Read on to find out what local events and places are keeping our food scene warm and welcoming while we wait for spring to fully show up!


Party “Un-Tail” The End!

All good things must come to an end, but we’re making sure the South Shore Lobster Crawl goes out with a bang! To wrap up the festivities that have been happening all month long, we’re thrilled to be hosting this years Tail End Event!

On February 27th, join us from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the charming Shipwright Brewing Company for an afternoon of incredible local food and drink! Mingle with other lobster lovers and people from the culinary community, while sampling a variety of products and dishes. This is a “shell’bration” that you don’t want to miss, so be sure to grab your tickets here!


Learn to Cook at The Flying Apron Inn & Cookery!

If becoming a better chef was part of your New Years resolutions, then you’re in luck! The Flying Apron in Summerville is has some availability left for their Cooking Class & Getaway packages! Choose from a variety of themed classes, where you and a partner/friend will learn to cook a 4 course meal, led by a professional chef. Afterwards, spend the night at their beautiful Inn, with complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Tired of the winter weather? The Coco Loco flight is back at Coldstream and ready to transport you straight to tropical bliss. This vibrant lineup features four fruity drinks that taste like they’re meant for warm beach day down south!

Available at all Coldstream locations for a limited time, you can try them out at anytime. We suggest enjoying one while catching one of the following live performances:

Austria Awaits at Le Caveau

The Winter Dinner Series is continuing at Le Caveau, located at Domaine de Grand Pré, one of Nova Scotia’s premier wineries. From February 19 to March 29, join them Thursdays through Sundays, from  5–8 p.m, to explore cozy, Austrian-Inspired cuisine!  Head to their social media for the full menu and more details.
