May 17: Find Your Dream Rosé: A Speed Tasting!
Yay for rosé! On Friday, Obladee Wine Bar is hosting a one hour rosé speed tasting event. Five rosés will be unveiled, ready to sample, and battling to win your vote! The flavour with the most votes will be placed on Obladee’s drink menu. What better way to spend a Friday night than rosé tasting with your friends?

May 18: Casa Nova Grand Opening
When they said grand opening, they meant it! Casa Nova Fine Beverages is kicking off their season with a product launch party. Visit their gorgeous winery, enjoy a complementary sample of their new flavoured cider, and sit back on the patio. Their new cider will be available exclusively at the store on site throughout the weekend. Relax and enjoy!

May 18: Hands on Chef
Don’t forget to eat your vegetables! Kitchen Door is hosting a three hour cooking class on Saturday, May 18th. The instructor Yotam Ottolenghi, will enlighten attendees on vegetable-focused recipes from his new Mediterranean collection of cuisine. If you want to take your cooking on a bold and exciting path, you do not want to miss this class!

May 18: South Shore Savour & Cycle Tour 2019
This all day event is followed by the Lunenburg 5 k.m. Road Race and Muffin Run 2019 on Sunday, May 19th. The Cycle Tour offers bikers beautiful road and trail rides, which is then followed by the wrap up party at The Mahone Bay Centre. The evening party provides various samples from exquisite local restaurants such as Mateus Bistro, Rebecca’s Restaurant, Oak Island Resort, and more. Talk about a fantastic way to spring into spring!

May 18: 5 Years of Meander Beers
Hard to believe that 5 years ago, almost to the day, Meander River Farm brewed their first batch in the brewery! Join them for brews and ciders, Nomad Gourmet food truck, fireworks, and bluegrass concert by Big Country Ramblers.
May 18: Tidal Bay Release Bash
Jost Vineyards is hosting their Tidal Bay Release Bash on May 18th. This highly anticipated release will be accompanied by live music, local gourmet food, and wine sales. Not to mention, free wine samples! There will also be winery tours available for $5.

Barometer Rising (May 19): This dinner spotlights Colin McIver of Dilly Dally Eats. He has been working in kitchens for years and since graduating has spent multiple years at Michelin Star restaurants. Colin is leaving Nova Scotia to work in Melbourne this fall, so The Watch That Ends The Night is very eager to showcase his skill and understanding of local ingredients this May. Bend & Brunch with The Yoga Hen (May 26): Enjoy a one-hour yoga session led by Holly Ross of The Yoga Hen Adventures in Avondale Sky Winery’s tranquil winery tasting room followed by a delicious pre-set brunch. Ticket price includes yoga session, brunch, one non-alcoholic beverage and gratuity. Mimosas and a selection of wines by the glass will also be available for purchase. Please bring your own yoga mat!
Farmer’s Market Dinner (May 31 & June 1): Lincoln Street Food invites the farmers to join them for dinner where they will prepare dinner with produce from the farm. This event is always very fun and and important part of their hyper local philosophy. Offered monthly throughout the season.
An Evening Of Cabernet Franc Small Lots (June 15): Join the Benjamin Bridge team at their private vineyard, located along the shores of the Minas Basin, in the small village of Kingsport for a guided tour and tasting as they launch their latest small lots: Cabernet Franc Rosé and Cabernet Franc Red. They invite you to stroll through this special parcel of land, home of the oldest Cabernet Franc vines in Nova Scotia, while learning about the effects of the terroir and tide in this unique location.
Uncork Nova Scotia: Wines and Steins Tour (Every Friday): This tour around Windsor, lets you sip some wine and feel divine, and don’t forget about the craft beer too! The day begins at Avondale Sky Winery, followed by lunch at Bent Ridge Winery and Cucina, continuing onto Sainte-Famille Wines, and finishing with Schoolhouse Brewery. This event filled day is a fabulous way to explore the town of Windsor and will leave you feeling refreshed.
