November 26th: Date Night in Rome

Take a stroll through classic Italian cooking at Kitchen Door. This class features simple ingredients treated with Italian elegance, perfect for a night out! The class will run from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and tickets are $87.50. See their website for details.

November 28th & December 6th: Christmas Old World Wine Pairing

Mabata’s chef’s Cam and Ben invite you to join them for a Christmas themed culinary journey. With delicate interplay between creativity, tradition, and focus on the use of local ingredients, the five course old world wine pairing dinner will feature French and Italian wines paired with exquisite dishes through an eclectic culinary collaboration. Tickets are $110 and can be purchased through email at talk@mabata.com or call (902) 443 0044.

November 28th: Ethnic Cuisine Series

Join Founders House Dining & Drinks as chef Chris heads back to his roots as a classically trained French Chef. He will bring a French cuisine three course adventure to kick off their Ethnic Cuisine Series. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased through their Facebook page.

Starting November 29th: Holiday Lunch Buffet

Join Durty Nellys: An Authentic Irish Pub for their Holiday Lunch Buffet on Thursdays and Fridays beginning November 29th and running until December 20th. The buffets will run from 11:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. and will be $16.99/ person. See their Facebook page to find out what will be on the menu!

November 30th: Holiday Open House at Planters Ridge

For the first time, Planters Ridge Winery will be opening their Barrel Cellar for their Holiday Open House. Explore and bask in the cellar’s enchanting aromas and try pre-released wines (2018 Pinot Noir, 2018 Quintessence Red, and 2018 Heritage Red). There will also be lovely shareable foods being served, along with a specialty mixed drink made with their prosecco style Elevation.

November 30th: Try Before You Buy Wine Event

Join Lane’s Privateer Inn for the 2nd annual Try Before You Buy Wine Event with Harvest Wines of Halifax. There will be a vast selection of wine, beer and cider with appetizers to accompany your libations. Live music will only add to this fun kick-off to the holiday season! Tickets are $28 plus tax.

December 1st: Vineyard, Vintage, Variety

Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards is hosting a 3V’s tasting series that offers an exclusive event to taste and purchase rare vintages at the winery. The focus of this session will be on the evolution of the estate Chardonnay program, featuring a vertical flight of Ancienne Chardonnay with library vintages spanning back to their inaugural release. Discussion will cover the influence of viticulture, growing conditions, bottle age, and winemaking practices. Visit their website for more details and to purchase tickets.

Chef Nights at Sugar Moon (December 6-7): Join Sugar Moon Farm December 6 & 7 for Chef Claude’s Christmas Chef Nights! Experience incredible cuisine, exquisite wines and live music all in a sugar camp setting. Dinner tickets are $75 and wine pairings are $25. See their Facebook page for more details.

Chocolate & Wine Pairings at Planters Ridge (December 7): Explore the decadently sweet and savoury art of wine and chocolate pairing. Planters Ridge Winery will be tasting different wines matched with chocolate and chocolate-infused dishes – from classically sweet flavour combinations to unexpected savoury surprises. Tickets are $20.

Christmas Open House with Gaspereau Vineyards (December 7th): From 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the December 7th, join Gaspereau Vineyards & Vine Side Patio for their holiday celebration! More event details to come.

Annual Chinese New Year 2019 – Year of the Rat (January 20 & 21, 2020): Come celebrate Chinese New Year 2020 – Year of the Rat with The Orient Chinese Cuisine! Enjoy a 10+ course dinner made by chef Ivan Chan. Tickets: $88/person.
