It’s that time of the year again! Fall might not be in full swing just yet, but the cooler evenings are reminding us that Autumn is just around the corner. Say your final goodbyes to September this week by attending wine and oyster festivals, drinking seasonal brews and so much more! AND our Taste of the Month for September is OYSTERS – shells yeah! September 25 to 30: NSLC Festival of Wines
Whether you’re a total expert or would love to expand your knowledge on wine, the NSLC Festival of Wines should be in your calendar. This year’s Festival of Wines celebrates the vibrant culture of Spain, complete with Spanish wines, Iberian-inspired local food (by Taste of Nova Scotia) and Spanish music.
September 29 to 30: Halifax Oyster Festival
Savour as many oysters as your heart (and stomach) desires at The Coast‘s annual Halifax Oyster Festival. Two delectable days of high quality local shellfish to sip, sample and enjoy. Keep an eye open for Taste members on site: Sober Island Oysters, Eel Lake Oyster Farm and Bay Enterprises Limited.
September 29: Tap Takeover at the Stubborn Goat
Get ready for a night filled with limited releases and seasonal brews! On Sept 29, Breton Brewing and Garrison Brewing will each have eight taps at The stubborn Goat. Some of these brews have never been seen before, make sure to stop by because this is one night only! More Info: Tap Takeover
September 30: Cask Beer Throwdown
The Cask Beer Throwdown is back at the Olympic for another evening full of fun! Make sure to keep an eye out for participating Taste members: Boxing Rock Brewing Company, Bulwark Cider, Garrison Brewing Co., Propeller Brewing Company, & Saltbox Brewing! More Info: 2nd Annual Cask Beer Throwdown
October 7: Lunenburg Oktoberfest
On October 7, join The Boxwood Festival Society for their annual Oktoberfest Festival of Craft Beers at the Lunenburg Community Centre. Enjoy beer tastings from some of the finest local and regional microbreweries including SaltBox Brewing, Boxing Rock Brewing Company and so many more!
