Taste of Nova Scotia Food Fare by the Sea
Taste the Tall Ships like never before!
If you love local food, be sure to join us July 19-23 to celebrate Nova Scotia food, drink, chefs, music and of course our world-class seafood on the Halifax Waterfront during the Tall Ships Festival. Taste of Nova Scotia Food Fare by the Sea will feature culinary booths offering everything local – from lobster rolls to pulled pork to fish burgers and locally-inspired pizza.
The Catch Seafood Stage, sponsored by the Province of Nova Scotia, is located in the Taste of Nova Scotia Food Fare by the Sea area. The Catch Stage will showcase seafood demonstrations and sampling hosted by local and national celebrity chefs – all complimentary!
Chuck Hughes (Food Network), Anna Olson (Food Network), Alain Bosse (The Kilted Chef and Taste of Nova Scotia 2011 Culinary Ambassador) and Renee Lavallee (Feisty Chef) will all be doing demonstrations over the five days. Live music and the Great Crew CATCH Cook Off will be can’t miss highlights as well.
And to sweeten the experience, admission to the Food Fare by the Sea and the Catch Seafood Stage is complimentary! For a list of vendors, menu items, festival hours and the Catch Seafood Stage Schedule, please click here.
Air Canada Cargo, the prize sponsor for the Taste of Nova Scotia Food Fare by the Sea and the Catch Seafood Stage, is providing two round trip Air Canada tickets in Hospitality Class to any of Air Canada’s North American scheduled destinations (excluding Hawaii) for us to giveaway during the festival.
For a chance to win, all you have to do is purchase a food item (excluding water) in the Taste of Nova Scotia Food Fare by the Sea area. Each purchase will give you one ballot to enter the draw. Completed ballots should be dropped off at the Taste of Nova Scotia Information Booth onsite. We will be drawing for the winner at 2:00pm on Monday, July 23, 2012.
Our Taste of Nova Scotia Food Fare by the Sea wouldn’t be complete without a local Beer & Wine Garden. While you are touring the ships, walking the boardwalk and taking in the atmoshere of our festive Halifax Waterfront – be sure to take a break in our FEED NOVA SCOTIA Beer & Wine Garden. A selection of Domaine de Grand Pre, Propeller Brewing Company and Ironworks Distillery products will be available for purchase – and just a reminder that our local beverages pair very well with our local foods!
As our charitable partner for Taste of Nova Scotia Food Fare by the Sea, a portion of the proceeds of our beverage sales will go to FEED NOVA SCOTIA. So sip your wine (or beer or cocktail) in the sun and know that you are supporting our local businesses and that a portion of the money you spend is going to a great local charity as well.
This is such a great event! I love that you are supporting Feed Nova Scotia! I will see you all there!
