Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, February 22, 2020: It is important for consumers to know where to find Nova Scotia’s locally grown and produced food and beverage.

That is why government and Taste of Nova Scotia have launched a buy-local program named, Get Your Hands on Local, that makes it easier for consumers to identify local products where they regularly shop.

“We want to see Nova Scotians consuming more products that are harvested, grown and produced by our local food industry, and supporting a stronger economy across the province,” said Agriculture Minister Keith Colwell. “With this new retail campaign, consumers will easily find Taste of Nova Scotia branded food and beverages year-round.”

The in-store campaign includes displays that help shoppers find Taste of Nova Scotia products.

An advertising campaign began this week and will continue in March and April.
