July 30 – August 4:
Watch buskers from around the world perform acts of street theatre, acrobatics, music, visual arts, fire displays and comedy all on the Halifax Waterfront with the Halifax International Busker’s Festival. Schedules can be found online.
August 2:
Devour The Food Film Fest presents “A Moveable Feast at Tangled Garden” – an afternoon of luscious food, art, music and poetry on Saturday, August 2nd. Start times run every ten minutes from 1:00 p.m to 2:30 p.m., tour and take in six stations of food, wine, art and performance. The afternoon will take approximately 75 minutes, and will finish with dessert and music.
August 3 & 4:
Join Sugar Moon Farms for the Gathering in Earltown – a Celebration of Celtic Culture and Heritage. Enjoy a picnic dinner, furniture making demos and a contra dance. Tickets available for purchase online.
August 6 – 10:
The 39th Annual Digby Scallop Days may be the tastiest thing happening this week. Where else can you watch competitions in categories like Scallop Shucking, Scallop Skipping and Scallop Net Knitting?

August 8 & 9:
Hit the Halifax Seaport BeerFest for the 8th annual “Beer on the Pier” Friday August 8 & Saturday August 9. Atlantic Canada’s largest annual celebration of craft beer and cider features producers from around the world. Look for local favourites like Garrison Brewing Co., Rare Bird Craft Beer and Bulwark Cider.

August 10:
Join the Rose & Kettle Tearoom at the Cole Harbour Heritage Farm Museum for the perfect afternoon Garden Party August 10 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Go for the one hour concert by Walt Music and stay for an elegant afternoon tea in the garden; dainty sandwiches, sweets, tea and lemonade. Tickets are available through the museum.
