Great things are happening all over Nova Scotia this spring. From organic wine tastings and lobster festival celebrations, to toasting (and sipping) the new vintage of Tidal Bay, here’s what’s cooking in Nova Scotia this week:

May – June

Have you ever wanted to experience oyster farming (and tasting) first hand? Let the the Nolan family of Eel Lake Oyster Farm take you on an oyster tour adventure.

It’s the launch of the Good Cheer Trail: Canada’s first winery, craft brewery and distillery trail. Celebrate by booking a tour of the Glenora Inn & Distillery, swirling wine at Gaspereau Vineyards or sampling beer at Hell Bay Brewing (to name just three of the 38 Good Cheer Trail experiences). Or you could book a tour with Grape Escapes, Uncork Nova Scotia or the Wolfville Magic Winery Bus to see four to six stops in a day!

June 4
Discover Tidal Bay, Nova Scotia’s first appellation wine, on Thursday June 4 at the Winery Association’s 12 Tides event. Challenge your palate at the blind tasting bar and enjoy award-winning Nova Scotia seafood. You’ll also have the opportunity to sample some beer and spirits from the Good Cheer Trail.

June 6
Sommelier Susan Lane will help you appreciate the complexities of organic wine paired with local cheeses, meats and chutneys at the Organic and Biodynamic Wine Tasting, held at Lane’s Privateer Inn.
