Tatamagouche Brewing Co. is taking over the taps at Battery Park Beer Bar in Dartmouth! In celebration of 10 years of brewing they will be kicking off the birthday festivities on June 8. All day long the taps will be flowing with various brews from Tata Brew, so head on down to the birthday party for a pint!
Science of Beer
Curious about what goes on behind the scenes of brewing? Look no further, as the Discovery Centre is hosting a Science of Beer event where you can learn it all from the masters. From 7 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. on June 8 soak it all in; from the characteristics to the process, there is so much to see and learn. Saltbox Brewing Company
Want to support a great cause on June 8? In partnership with the Epilepsy Association of the Maritimes, Saltbox Brewing Company is hosting a Seize the Day fundraiser for individuals and families affected by epilepsy. The day starts off at 11 a.m. with a 5km run or 3km walk followed by various activities including music, food, and drink! For more information or to register visit their website.
The Carleton
June 8 visit The Carleton for a night of laughs fueled by stand-up comedy and improv. Vanessa Allen is hosting Comedy for a Cause as a way to give back to the community through laughter, while raising funds to support surgery costs for Bea, her beloved cat. Starting at 7 p.m. enjoy the atmosphere of The Carleton swell with joy from the fun performances on stage. Get your tickets now!
Obladee, A Wine Bar
On June 12 sip on a smooth glass of wine while listening to the velvety notes of live Jazz music led by Gabe Mink accompanied by a collection of Eastern Canada’s top musicians! Enjoy the rich and soothing ambiance that mimics the divine dishes available at Obladee. The live jazz is from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; make sure to reserve a spot as seating is limited!
June 14: Sea Level Brewing is hosting their first ever popup trivia night! Hosted by drag queens Queera Bang and Queen Morticious, reservation are highly encouraged. Email sealeveltrivia@gmail.com to save your spot!
June 14: Benjamin Bridge is starting up happy hours every Friday 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. throughout the summer. Most Fridays will enjoy a weekly wine feature but June 14 will be a special Tidal Bay happy hour!
June 15: Drop by Saltbox Brewing Company in Mahone Bay for soapbox races. Daredevils of all ages will be racing in handmade cars, with proceeds going to the Bayview School Breakfast Program!
June 15: 80’s Glamour is taking over Schoolhouse Brewing for Pride Prom! With electric throwback tunes from Height Requirement, exciting performers, and indoor and outdoor bars, this party is going to be over the top.
June 16: Celebrate your special man with Long Table Social Club for Father’s Day. Dad’s can enjoy a special Brunch Burger and a free drink all day! Make your reservation ahead of time!
June 16: Leona Burkley is hosting her annual Shine Blue show to The Carleton in support of Autism Nova Scotia. Celebrating understanding, acceptance and inclusion, starting at 7 p.m. enjoy a show with a good cause.
