A Shift in Season
We’ve hit the point in the year when a warm day surprises us once a week, and that’s all it takes for Canadians to decide that spring is here. Whether the forecast agrees or not, we’re ready for a bit of a reset.
Here’s what’s happening around Nova Scotia to help get you in a spring mindset!
Sip Something New
We’re starting to see producers around the province reveal some great new products, along with bringing back some fan favourites. If you’re wanting to find a few new options for spring, this is a great place to start!
Beausoleil Farmstead Winery & Cidery
Beausoleil Farmstead just announced a new arrival: Lavender!
A lightly sparkling wine and cider blend that’s floral, botanical, and bright.
Made with crisp Annapolis Valley cider and estate L’Acadie Blanc, and infused with lavender from their gardens.
Lake City has just released XL sized cans of their Fresh Pressed Cider!
Bold and dry at 8.9% ABV, made with 100% Nova Scotia apples.
Available now at their Portland Street location, or through retail and delivery.
The Hair of the Dog Spritz lineup was just announced!
Flavours include: Strawberry Basil, Rosé Sangria, White Peach, and White Sangria.
Light, refreshing, and easygoing for the season ahead.
Coming soon to NSLC stores and the Luckett wine shop when it opens May 1.
Although it isn’t new, the Spicy Pineapple Cider is now available at select NSLC stores!
Sweet tropical pineapple meets crisp apple with a kick of Tien Tsin chilli.
Bold and unique, this drink is worth keeping an eye out for in the cider aisle.
Propeller just launched their new Black Stout with Nitrogen!
Smooth, creamy and unique, its available now at all Propeller taprooms.
Keep an eye out for cans coming soon.
Ninkasi’s NEIPA is back on tap and available for takeout at Sea Level!
It’s brewed by the women of the team in celebration of International Women’s Day.
This year’s batch has an extra citrus twist, making it brighter & juicer more juicy than before.
A portion of proceeds from every pint and takeout sale supports a local women’s shelter.

Obladee, A Wine Bar Cellar Tasting
Obladee is leaning into the energy of 2026 with a themed Cellar Wine & Cheese Tasting inspired by the Year of the Fire Horse.
Taking place Thursday, March 26 from 5 p.m.–6:30 p.m., the tasting will feature four wines pulled from their cellar, each paired with a complementary cheese. Guests will be guided through the experience by sommeliers who explain each pairing and what makes these selections stand out.
Reserve your spot now and join them for a little midweek fun!

Celebrate Pride Prom at Schoolhouse Brewery
If you’re already looking ahead to summer plans, Pride Prom is coming back to Schoolhouse Brewery! On June 13, their taproom is turning into a night of music, queer comedy and dancing. This year’s theme is Neon Future, so expect fun outfits, plenty of glitter, and a dance floor with good energy all night long.
It runs from 7 p.m. to midnight at their Windsor location and is a 19+ event. Pre-sale tickets are $40 and available until April 30, so it’s a great plan to book in ahead of time!
