November has arrived! Whether you’re kickstarting your holiday shopping at Saltscapes Harvest Greets The Holidays Expo or enjoying local food, wine and music, our members are cooking up lots of delicious events this week. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for all our Save the Dates!

By the way, have you heard the news? This month, we’re all about celebrating local comfort food! From sipping local cider by the fireplace to making a locally inspired grilled cheese, there’s no shortage of ways to delve into the comforts of home. November’s Taste of the Month is comfort food!

Saltscapes Harvest Greets the Holidays

It’s the Ultimate Buy Local Holiday event of the year! Eat, drink and shop local with Saltscapes, take in workshops on food and get a head-start on your holiday preparations. Lots of our Taste of Nova Scotia members will be participating – be sure to stop by, say hello and sample their wares!

November 10: Jost Vineyards’ Christmas Open House

Start the holiday season at Jost Vineyards’ Christmas Open House. Sample complimentary punch and locally made treats while you enjoy the holiday music of East Coast Carolling. While you’re there, be sure to dine at Seagrape Café – they’ve got a special menu for the festival!

November 10: Live Music at Garrison Brewing Co.

Kick off your long weekend with great local beer and local music! Grab your friends and head over to Garrison Brewing Company on Saturday night. Andrew Frelick will be performing a special full band acoustic show with guest Kayla Mason as the opening act.

Old Fashioned Christmas at Liscombe Lodge (November 23-December 2) – Head over to Liscombe Lodge for a Christmas feast in the Riverside Dining room. Relax in Wadd’s Lounge by the Christmas tree and glowing fires while listening to songs of the season.

Stretch, Savour and Stroll at Avondale Sky Winery (November 25) –  Join The Yoga Hen Adventures at Avondale Sky Winery for an active, fun-filled morning, finishing off with a thoughtfully curated wine and cheese tasting.

Chocolate and Wine at Planter’s Ridge (December 8) – Planters Ridge is pairing up with Petite Patrie for their annual pairing of fine chocolates and Planters Ridge silky smooth reds!Book now for a barrel cellar experience to taste with the bean-to-bar chocolate makers from Petite Patrie.
