Knoydart Farm is a certified organic dairy farm belonging to Angela, Adam and Frazer Hunter and overlooks the ruggedly beautiful coastline of the Northumberland Strait. In 1998 they decided to take the plunge and bought the dairy farm in Knoydart, halfway between New Glasgow and Antigonish.

Over the years they transitioned the farm to organic and added the cheese making facility in 2009. They produce organic Gloucester and Caerphilly cheeses in a variety of flavours, including peppercorn, garlic, dill caraway and cranberry.

Their Cheeses are available at many speciality stores in the maritimes including the Prissy Pig (Antigonish), Antigonish Farmers Market, New Glasgow Farmers Market, Pete’s Frootique stores and select Sobeys stores as well as at farm gate (call ahead).


Open daily, if no one at Cheese House call in to Farm House next door.
