Knoydart Cheese House is adjacent to Knoydart Farm – the only certified organic dairy farm East of Quebec. We purchase organic milk from the Farm and process it into Cheddar cheese, with recipes based on Double Gloucester and Caerphilly. The Farm and Cheese House overlook the ruggedly beautiful coastline of the Northumberland Strait with P.E.I. being seen in the distance.
The Knoydart Cheddar (Double Gloucester) comes in plain and aged, as well as a variety of flavours including garlic, chili, caraway, smoked, and chives – to name a few. Dummaglass (Caerphilly) the Farmhouse Cheddar fresh curds are always available.
Cheese can be purchased year-round at the Cheese House, and various products can be found at select Sobeys locations in the Maritimes, Pete’s Fine Foods, select independent delis in the Maritimes, as well as at farmers’ markets in Antigonish, New Glasgow, and Mabou.
