Boxing Rock Brewing Co.

New product alert! Boxing Rock may have just released your new go-to drink for the spring and summer months. The Shandy is a light sour beer with cranberry and lemonade… sounds delicious right?!

Governors Pub & Eatery

This weekend, Governors Pub has a fantastic line-up of live entertainment planned! On Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., you can enjoy music from two of Cape Breton’s best artists, Carmen Townsend and Buddy MacDonald. Stop by for an evening of great tunes, food, and drinks!

Bulwark Cider

Bulwark Cider has announced the release of their Pure McNab Black Cherry Hard Seltzer! This hard seltzer is a light and refreshing summer beverage, with only 100 calories and 5 per cent ABV. It’s also gluten-free and vegan!

Get your hands on this new product now at Muwin Estate Wines in New Ross and at Bulwark Cider House in Halifax. It’ll be available in NSLC stores across the province and select private liquor stores beginning the week of May 1.

Clove Hitch Bar & Bistro

Great news! Port Hood’s Clove Hitch Bar & Bistro is re-opening for the season on May 6, and they have some exciting things planned for their return. They’ve released their opening menu which features great appetizers, a variety of sandwiches, and plenty of locally-inspired main dishes. Just two more weeks until you can visit this lovely spot again!

Benjamin Bridge

Benjamin Bridge’s 2020 Pet Nat is now available in the iconic 250 ml cans! This wine is refreshing and convenient, and for the team at Benjamin Bridge and their fans, it marks the true start of spring. The Pet Nat is juicy and bursting with notes of grapefruit, lime, and tropical fruits.

You can find these cans in their online shop, at the Gaspereau Valley winery to take home, or you can enjoy by-the-glass daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the winery.

Virtual Saltscapes Expo

From April 30 until May 2, Saltscapes Magazine will be holding a Virtual Expo! This is a free nationwide online consumer trade-show. Similar to Saltscapes’ annual East Coast Expo, the virtual floor plan will offer you an inspiring live and local shopping journey across Canada’s East Coast all weekend long.

What can you expect at this year’s expo? Local producers and business owners sharing their retail products, destination inspiration for your best 2021 staycation, chef inspired food and beverage demos, health and wellness services, and so much more!

Burger Wars 2021

All April long, many restaurants across the Annapolis Valley are participating in this year’s Burger Wars! For each specialty burger sold during the month of April, $1 will be donated to Campaign for Kids to help youth in financial need in Kings County.

For each restaurant you visit, you’ll receive a stamp on your Burgers Wars passport. For every five restaurants you visit, you’ll get one ballot towards the grand prize, which is a $400 gift certificate for the Quarterdeck Resort. One passport entrant will win a $100 gift certificate to the restaurant that wins the People’s Choice Award.

Participating Taste of Nova Scotia members include: Kellock’s Restaurant, The Union Street, Crystany’s Brasserie, Maritime Express Cider Co., Paddy’s Brewpub, Wayfarer’s Ale Society, Winegrunt, Church Brewing Co., and Lightfoot & Wolfville.

Mahone Bay Burger Week

Beginning Monday, April 26 until May 2, the 3rd Annual Mahone Bay Burger Week will take place! When you visit a participating restaurant, $1 from every burger sold will go to the Mahone Bay Food Bank. Mateus Bistro and Rebecca’s Restaurant are the Taste of Nova Scotia members who will be taking part in this year’s Mahone Bay Burger Week.
