With the holiday season in full swing, it’s time to celebrate with festive food and drinks. This week, crack open the eggnog, enjoy chocolate goodies  and lots of winter family activities!

Be sure to indulge in our Taste of the Month – this month, it’s all about an abundance of seafood, rich cakes, pies, celebratory beverages, sweets, family recipes and candies. This month celebrate Decadent December with Taste of Nova Scotia!

December: Sunday Brunches at Le Caveau

Every Sunday, head to Grand-Pré Winery to join Le Caveau Restaurant for their delicious brunch from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tis’ the season to indulge in festive food and drink!

December: Festive Lunch at Gio

Starting the 8th of December during weekdays, enjoy a festive lunch buffet at Gio Restaurant. It’s the perfect way to kick start the holidays during the week! More of a brunch fan? Check out their festive brunches on Sunday between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

December: Holiday Menu at Morris East

It’s sparkling wine season!  Eat, drink and be merry at Morris East. Join them from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a glass of $6 bubbly and their delicious three-course menu. They also have festive daily lunch specials too!

December 13: Healthy Eating

Need some inspiration to eat healthier over the holidays? Don’t fret – we have exactly what you need! Haskapa will be introducing a healthy eating class. The class comes with the inspiration to bring healthy food to the center of attention this holiday season. They will be making healthier alternatives to some holiday favorites.

December 14: Wine Down Thursdays

Everyday is wine day right? This Thursday, enjoy half-price bottles of Nova Scotia wine at the Five Fishermen! Can’t make it out Thursday? Check out their weekly specials.

December 16: Chili Warm-Up & Family Fun

Come and enjoy some holiday spirit and ‘warm-up’ with the Chili Cook-Off on Argyle Street. Sample some chili, vote for and buy a bowl of your favourite and enjoy some family-friendly activities! Keep an eye out for Durty Nelly’s and Good Cheer Trail Participant, Gahan House.

December 16: Make Your Own Christmas Raw Chocolate & Cacao Desserts

Do you love chocolate? Do you feel guilty when you eat it? Well, You don’t have to anymore! This Saturday, join Haskapa and Silvia Revenco for this fun class where they will demonstrate the process of making your very own decadent raw chocolate and other chocolate desserts!

December 16: Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest

Think you have the best Ugly Christmas Sweater? This Saturday, throw it on and head to Crystany’s Brasserie to take part in their first Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. Stop by for a bite to eat and admire all of the sweaters in the room. If you’re lucky, your sweater could win you a $20 gift card!
