I just finished my last can of peppered kippers that I got at salt scapes in Halifax. I had them fried with eggs and toast and they are great. is there a place locally (new Germany) that I can get more? they are great. thank you for a great meal idea.

Nous avons essayé ici à Montréal Qc, vendu chez Costco, vos “Sardine Fillets” enfin des sardines sans colonne vertébrale, de tous les vendeurs de sardine en boîte les arêtes sont toujours minimes et négligeables, mais nous retirions toujours la colonne vertébrale, maintenant avec vos sardines en filet, il n’y plus de colonne vertébrale bien plus accueillant pour des canapés à des invités, merci d’y avoir pensé, salutation !

Love ypur Kipper Snacks but it would be nice if the cans were filled. Often I will open a can to find it only half full and one time, I opened a can that was almost completely empty. Still, they are the best.

Hi the heck do I get your kippers in Ontario, specifically Toronto. I got your delicious sardine fillets in Costco but you other stuff, no luck. And your sardines are fantastic.
Am from NS originally – now in Ontario ; my brother-in-law brought brought some of your sardines from down there – and they put the Ontario available ones to shame! How can I order some more !!
Just purchased several cans of “Sardine Fillets in Soya Oil” here in Mississauga (west of Toronto) at a Costco. Really good, and reasonably priced. To my surprise they tasted somewhat like kippers, not the typical sardines in oil or water. Anyway, essential food and much enjoyed by a native Maritimer from the Fundy region!
Are the cans used for Kersen products BPA free? All products produced at IMO Foods are packed in cans that are free from BPA coatings.
Do the kippers need to be cooked or does the canning process cook them?
Kersen kipper snacks are cooked during the canning and are ready to eat right out of the can

i adore Kersen Sardines and l’ve told my friends about them and l received a gift of them but when l opened them they were not full sardines and when l bought them a couple of years a go they were full with only the head removed . these cans that l received as a gift were all broken up .that is what we usely get from other canning places what l loved about yours were that they really were fillets just like the picture did you stop processing them like that and just put pieces in can’t even see that it was sardines I was quite disappointed.I would like to hear back from you Thank You

I am replying regarding two of your products: Kersen Kipper Snacks and Kersen Sardines. I purchase both of these products at Costco in Moncton, NB in packs of 8 each. I am formerly from the Bay of Fundy area in Nova Scotia, namely Youngs Cove.
I find both products to be of excellent quality and a reminder of my boyhood along the Fundy. I purchase a pack of each product monthly. I do Have however, a complaint with your packing department The pull tab on each of these items causes me great concern. Of every pack of 8 the tab on at least 6 cans breaks off before the can perforates. I then try to use a can opener which will mot open them due to the narrow edge of the can. I am then forced to use a knife or screw driver to force the can open. I am concerned about getting metal fragments in the meat or cutting myself on the jagged edges. The problem appears to be the indentation in the tab toward the end of the can in that it mushes upward instead of breaking the seal. I purchase dog food with a similar tab except that it is solid all the way around and never breaks or mushes. I do love the products, but…

Are the products you sell wild or farm raised? Costco says if it does not say wild it is farm raised.
Makes a huge difference to me.
I break the easy to open lid every time, which makes it not so easy. I like the kippers but please address the lid. Also I would like to know if you use bpa in the cans.
I bought a pack of 8 cans at Costco. The first one I opened was not packaged in sunflower oil as advertised but water. A few drops of oil floated on the surface. And they are not whole fish as it shows on the front, but pieces. I needed a knife and pliers to open the can. Is this what I’ll find in the other cans?
we buy the sardines from Costco with the “easy open” tabs. We love the sardines but the tabs break off about 30% of the time and we end up using a can opener. Bit disappointing.
We (and our dogs) love your sardines, but you have got to find a better way of opening the tins!! The tabs break off so often and when they don’t, by the time the lid is off, you and everything close to you is covered with oil/water. Not a very pleasant experience to say the least
Same complaint as a few others. Fix your tabs so the cans will open easier. Proud to have something from home. Yarmouth to Edmonton(Costco)
