Open City Halifax 2021

Kick off summer 2021 with Open City! Created in 2012 by I Love Local Halifax and hosted again this year by Develop Nova Scotia, Open City invites you to celebrate the many local shops and restaurants our city has to offer.

On Saturday, June 19, get together with bubble-friends and family to explore the many businesses rolling out their welcome mats and offering special treats and features. From ‘back door’ take out, to relaxing on a patio with a cold drink – #OpenCityHFX has something for everyone to enjoy!

As part of the event, some of your favourite Taste of Nova Scotia businesses are inviting you to celebrate our local food and drink with special offerings:

Brooklyn Warehouse

2795 Windsor St. | Take out only – Kung Pao pork riblets with sesame seeds & kimchi: $10 plus HST.

Chain Yard Urban Cidery

2606 Agricola St. | Cider cocktails and hall crafty retail pop up.

Compass Distillers

2533 Agricola St. | Lavender gin cocktail: $8 each

Purchase a 750ml bottle of gin with a four-pack of Fevertree tonic and receive a free reusable tote bag. Limited available, while supplies last.

Garrison Brewing Company

Free dog treats and dog beer sampling, along with some human friendly drink specials and food.

Java Blend Coffee

1549 Lower Water St. | Enjoy waterfront views, beverages, and fresh seafood on their newly extended patio.

Please note that food items featured in #OpenCityHFX take time and tend to sell out. Be sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment!
