This Valentine’s Day and all February, explore more than 60 restaurants offering specially curated menus priced at $10, $20, $30, $40 and $50 across the city and beyond for Dine Around 2020.

February 14th: Valentine’s Day Dinners

From wine-paired dinners to romantic getaways, Taste of Nova Scotia members across the province are gearing up for the most love-filled day of the year. Looking for a special experience that’s sure to wow? Here’s a look at some of the experiences you can find our members offering!

Planter’s Ridge

Planters ridge is staying open late so you can enjoy a glass of wine and a sweet treat by the fire. They’re partnering with great local chefs to create decadent desserts to pair with their excellent wines. Enjoy a casual and relaxing evening in their tasting room or barrel cellar, surrounded by candlelight. They’ll be offering two seatings: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. or 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per couple and include two glasses of wine and a dessert of your choosing to share. Additional glasses of wine and cheese boards will be available to purchase as well. Must be 19+.

Gabrieau’s Bistro

Treat your sweetheart to a three course gourmet dinner and a soothing tandem float this Valentine’s Day at Gabrieaus Bistro! Choose your day Feb. 13th, 14th or 15th and enjoy!

Salt Shaker Deli

Friday, February 14th from 5 p.m. – close, the Salt Shaker Deli will have a Valentine’s Day menu for love birds and singles alike! For $45 a person you’ll receive an appetizer, main, and dessert!

The Flying Apron

Wednesday, February 12th pack your bags for a getaway to The Flying Apron. Enjoy a cooking class, dinner with your valentine and getaway package for $275 per couple. Alternatively, head to their Valentine’s brunch buffet, Sunday Feb. 16th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. $35 per person.

February 14th: Nova Scotia Icewine Festival Gala

The event promises to be everything you want when celebrating with your special someone on Valentine’s Day. Wine poured by 11 Nova Scotia wineries, delicious food by The Union Street and live music courtesy of The Mellotones to dance the night away. Finish off the evening with a spectacular fireworks show in the vineyard. 19+ event.

February 15th: Rhubarb Restaurant Lobster Boil

Enjoy a lobster boil by the fire Saturday 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Bundle up, bring a friend and enjoy an outdoor lobster boil next to a crackling fire! Reservations required.

February 15th: Craft Beer Festival

On Saturday Feb. 15th, celebrate the amazing craft beers of Nova Scotia at the second annual Lobster Crawl Craft Beer Festival! More than 20 craft breweries and cideries will be in attendance, along with delicious local bites, signature lobster dishes, games and music. Bring your sweetheart and make it a Valentine’s Day date night! Event will take place at the Bridgewater Best Western Plus. VIP access will begin at 7 p.m. with general ticketed access at 8 p.m.

February 15th – 16th: Nova Scotia Icewine Festival Tasting Event

Give the gift of an experience this Valentine’s Day and make your way to Lightfoot & Wolfville Winery on February 15, 16, 17 or 18  for the Icewine Festival official tasting events. Tickets include 16 tokens to be used for wine and food samples as well as an Icewine Festival tasting glass to take home. Additional food and tokens will be available for purchase.

Tickets: $40 +HST/person. Icewine Shuttle $89 +HST/person.

Kitchen Door Cooking classes (February): With classes on everything from tacos to vegetarian dishes, there’s lots to choose from this month at Kitchen Door. They also featuring several different styles of cooking class, that allow you to make and take, eat your creations on site, and more.

Savour Food & Wine Festival (February): In its 17th year, Savour Food & Wine Festival brings together Nova Scotia’s talented mixologists, incredible brewers, award-winning winemakers, and phenomenal chefs and their dishes over a series of five incredible events during the month of February.

Nova Scotia Lobster Crawl (February 1 – 29): Sip, savour, shop, stay and enjoy more than 100 lobster-related experiences from Barrington to Peggy’s Cove.

Craft Beer Festival (March 21st): Join breweries from across the province as they celebrate the Nova Scotia Craft Beer Festival. You won’t find more Nova Scotia craft breweries under one roof. Regular ticket price includes access to the event, 12 – 4 oz beer samples, and a take-home glass. VIP ticket includes 1 hour earlier access to the event, 16 – 4 oz beer samples, and a special take-home glass.
