EVENT: Our Heritage – An Evening of Music, Story & Art by Cole Harbour Heritage Rural Society

This November, the Cole Harbour Heritage Rural Society is partnering with the Dartmouth Heritage Museum to put on a fundraiser celebrating the diverse cultural heritages of Nova Scotia. The event will bring together seven performing artists and two visual artists to display the rich cultural histories of our seaside province. The seven Nova Scotian performing artists include musicians, singers, storytellers, poets, and balladeers who represent Mi’kmaq, Acadian, African Nova Scotian, Gaelic, and British Nova Scotian heritages. The event will also feature a live rug hooking demonstration as well as live painting.

The entertainment of the evening will be accompanied by a dessert buffet prepared by the Heritage Farm’s Rose and Kettle Tea Room. Along with this, there will be a silent auction featuring unique Dartmouth and Cole Harbour art, shops and experiences, a display of historic images and a vintage photo booth to help you capture your memories of the evening.

All proceeds from the event will contribute to the work of the Cole Harbour Rural Heritage Society and the Dartmouth Heritage Museum towards the preservation of heritage in the greater Dartmouth-Cole Harbour region.
