Old Orchard Inn

March Break is coming and so are the deals at The Old Orchard inn! The longer you stay, the more you save. Northumberland Shore

If you’re in the Northumberland Shore this March break, you’re going to want to plan a stop at Sugar Moon Farm. Reserve a weekend brunch for your family and friends. South Shore

The South Shore is one of the most picturesque areas in Nova Scotia. It also has some great destinations for those taking a vacation on March break. Make sure to check out the White Point Beach Resort! White Point Beach Resort is a beautiful destination for anyone who wants a high-quality stay at a high-quality resort with high-quality local eats. White Point also loads up their schedule with family fun throughout all of March break. Enjoy some arts and crafts with the kids, get snuggly during the Teddy Bears Picnic, laugh watching a family movie, and so much more!

While you’re down there, check out some other delicious culinary destinations. Capt. Kat’s Lobster Shack provides great seafood, Salt Shaker Deli provides delicious, local favourites, and the Kiwi Café is where you want to go for a delicious breakfast. Yarmouth and Acadian Shores

Looking to take a road trip this March break? Yarmouth and the Acadian Shores is a wonderful place to travel! The Red Cap Restaurant & Motel is a great place to stay during your trip and supplies you with everything you need; elicious food, and a dazzling place to stay. Don’t forget to stop in at the D’Eon Oyster Company for fresh oysters, or visit Rudder’s Seafood Restaurant and Brewery for some seafood and drink.

Halifax Metro

Maybe you want to have a quiet March break. A nice calm week of relaxation and serenity. The Rose & Kettle Tea Room has you covered. They may not be available physically, but you can still check out the online store when it opens on Monday. The purchasable items are fresh, local, and delicious. Delivery is available. Some other highlights in the Halifax Metro area include enjoying some great Chinese food at The Orient Chinese Cuisine, stopping in at Hotel Halifax for a place to stay and a delicious locally inspired meal from Harbour City Bar & Grill, or grabbing a sweet treat from Gourmandises Avenue Chocolaterie. It would also be a great opportunity to grab some grub from The Canteen On Portland which is well-loved among locals.

Eastern Shore

Take a trip down to the Eastern Shore this March break for some undiscovered gems in Nova Scotia. Uprooted Market and Cafe supplies the Eastern Shore with fresh local produce and provides delicious and nutritious sandwiches and coffee. All the produce is prime for the picking, and would go great with any recipes featured on our website. While down there, don’t forget to enjoy a wonderful dining experience at Lupin Dining & Pantry, or grab a delicious brunch at the Rose & Rooster Café.

Cape Breton Island

Book a stay at Restaurant Avalon at Castle Rock Country Inn on the beautiful Cape Breton Island. The Castle Rock Country Inn is a wonderful four-star boutique hotel which also houses the delicious flavours of the Restaurant Avalon. All the food is locally produced and fresh. While in Cape Breton, don’t forget to stop by Galloping Cows Fine Foods for fresh jellies and jams. Kiju’s Restaurant, Membertou Trade & Convention Centre is a great place for family foodies. Their kids menu is great.  It’s also worth stopping by the Governors Pub and Eatery for some burger and fries. Inverary Resort has a great Family Fun package! This focuses on getting the entire family together for a night of fun. Get a room and experience the luxury of the Inverary Resort at an affordable price.

Bay of Fundy & Annapolis Valley

The Flying Inn & Cookery is a must-visit spot known for their community-focused ideals, their kindness, and the high-quality local experience they provide. Book a night and don’t forget to try out their outstanding pastries. While you’re there, check out Masstown Market, Masstown Butcher, and Masstown Creamery to find some local favorites ranging from a rack of ribs, fresh blueberries, or creamy ice cream. Fox Hill Cheese House  in Port Williams is also worth visiting to pick up some fresh Nova Scotian dairy products. If you’re hiking near Truro make sure to check out Bistro 22. Bistro 22 provides some fantastic food while ensuring their ingredients are as local and fresh as possible.
