The annual Saltscapes East Coast Expo is back for another year of outstanding exhibitors, local tastings, interesting demos and incredible live entertainment! Join us for three days of fun-filled culinary adventures, find new favourite local products, sample delicacies and watch chefs compete for the best chowder.
Dates: April 26, 27 and 28, 2019
Times: Friday, April 26: 12 to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 27: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 28: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: Halifax Exhibition Centre – 200 Prospect Rd, Goodwood
Tickets: $13 a day or $37 for a three-day weekend pass

Culinary Stage
Don’t miss the Taste of Nova Scotia Culinary Stage, hosted by the Kilted Chef Alain Bossé, to watch the engaging, locally-inspired tastings, educational demos and culinary competitions. Some of this year’s topics include: Chef Steph Levac from Just Us! Coffee Roasters will teach you to make focaccia, Lobster 101 with the Kilted Chef, fresh and delicious cocktails from Still Fired Distilleries and Coldstream Clear Distillery, Tidal Salt‘s Audrey Duddan teaches you how to pair hand harvested Nova Scotia sea salt and local ingredients, Traditional Chinese Cuisine and Sweet and Sour Soup Secrets with The Orient Chinese Cuisine , and more! Get ready to eat, drink and explore your way around Nova Scotia!
Chowder Cook-Off
What will you dive into? Cheer on local chefs as they face off in the Taste of Nova Scotia Chowder Cook-Off, pick up cooking tips and tricks, and learn more about one of our favorite culinary trails. Our Nova Scotia chowders are warm and comforting, much like the character of our people!
