August 27: Lightkeeper’s Seafest
Yarmouth & Acadian Shores

Step aboard a fishing boat in Yarmouth, welcomed with Nova Scotia oysters and wine. Tour the coast dotted with fishing communities en-route to Cape Forchu Lightstation where your sunset feast awaits, complete with live Acadian songs. Savour mussels and seafood-stuffed lobster, expertly paired by your host chef and sommelier with award-winning Nova Scotia wines. As night falls, your dark sky expert will share seafaring stories and legends of the stars. Presented by The Keeper’s Kitchen.

August 29: Kitchen Door Italian class

Join Kitchen Door for the evening as you learn how to cook approachable and seasonal Italian food. The menu is inspired by the chef that convinced their chef to start down his culinary path – Jamie Oliver! Tickets are $100.

August 30: International Night of 1000 Fiddles

On August 31st, Glenora Distillery will present the International Night of A Thousand Fiddles where they hope to establish a world record for the most fiddles played on one night worldwide. To be a part of this historic event, play the tune “Fiddler’s Choice” or a reel of your choosing on the night of August 31, 2019 in your home or wherever convenient. August 30: Shawn Hebb live at Saltbox
Saltbox Flight Beer

Join musician Shawn Hebb at Saltbox Brewing Co. in Mahone Bay for live entertainment starting at 7 p.m.! Shawn is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who brings a wide variety of musical styles to his compositions and live performances. Stop by for a pint, or flight, of beer and enjoy the show.

August 30 & 31: Farmers Market Dinner

Join Lincoln Street Food for a special dinner this weekend!  On Friday & Saturday they will be offering a five course tasting celebrating our late August harvest. Five courses, one seating, 6:30 p.m., $60 
 + wine pairing, $40 featuring some great new wines. By reservation only.

August 31: Meet the Brewers

Meander River Farm & Brewery owner Alan Bailey will lead a guided tasting followed by a mini brewery tour at Meander River on August 31st. Appetizers from Gold Island Bakery will be provided to complement the brews. Designated driver tickets are available which will include non-alcoholic drink options.

August 31: Christina Martin at The Townhouse

Head to The Townhouse Brewpub & Eatery in Antigonish to catch Christina Martin live on August 31st. The show starts at 9 p.m. and will end around 11 p.m. Tickets are $20.00  – to reserve tickets in advance or a table please call the venue at 902-8632248.

Liscombe Hiking Adventure (September 7): In partnership with Hike Nova Scotia, Liscombe Lodge will host the “Hike-Eat-Stay” weekend getaway. Explore the Liscombe River Trail and cross the suspension bridge overlooking the waterfall and nearby fish ladder with guide Lori Taylor.

Renee Lavallee at Sugar Moon Farm (September 20): Join Renée Lavallée, Top Chef contender & owner of The Canteen as she presents a seasonal maple-inspired dinner with Nova Scotia wines. Tickets available here.

Avondale Garlic Festival (September 21): Mark your calendars for the 7th annual Avondale Garlic Fest on Saturday, September 21st! Celebrate Nova Scotia’s garlic growers while enjoying live music, fine art, great food, cooking demos and more at Eastern Canada’s largest garlic festival, all happening on the picturesque Avondale Sky Winery grounds.

Fall Harvest Port & Chocolate Tasting (September 28): Saint-Famille Wines is celebrating the fall harvest by featuring their award-winning Kingsport paired with gourmet chocolates. This event will feature live music by Roland Smith from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Harvest Festival (October 12): Experience the fruits of the Jost Vineyards harvest! Their cornucopia of wine tastings and harvest-inspired food pairings is autumn at its finest. Enjoy wine tastings, live music on the patio, a special festival menu featuring harvest-inspired food from their Seagrape Café, wine sales & more.
