October 13 & 15: Nocturne: Art at Night 2016




This wonder-filled celebration of art kicks off this week with a schedule brimming with unique events and exhibits. Head over to Seven Bays Bouldering for Eat, Drink, Nocturne – the festival’s opening night reception hosted by CBC’s Bob Murphy. October 14-16: Spirited Away


Join talented mixologists and world-class chefs for an enchanting weekend filled with dining, sampling, and learning at Spirited Away! From unique workshops to cocktail competitions, celebrate the growth of craft distilling in Lunenburg this weekend. October 15: Fall Flavours Pasta Making Class

October 17: A Tasting at The Five Fishermen

Just because the weekend is over doesn’t mean that the feasting has to stop! Head over to The Five Fishermen Restaurant & Grill to indulge in a tasting featuring woodfire grilled swordfish nicoise, mussels and crab cakes, paired with wines from Blomidon, Avondale Sky Winery, and Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards. On October 19, restaurants in 15 cities across Canada will donate proceeds from dinner service to healthy food programs in their communities. In Nova Scotia, participating restaurants include Chives Canadian Bistro, The Canteen and EnVie. The best part is that all proceeds from this event will be donated to the Dartmouth North Community Food Centre. All you need to do is make a reservation at your favourite participating spot!
