Spring is in the air! As we transition into this new season, Nova Scotia’s culinary industry is buzzing with plenty of exciting projects. This week is bringing us March Break sales, new beers and spirits, and anniversary celebrations! Keep reading for information on upcoming events, as well as a delicious pizza recipe made with one of our favourite ingredients – maple syrup (yes – you read that correctly!)

100 years ago, The Bluenose – Canada’s sailing icon, was launched in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. To celebrate the anniversary of this vessel, Garrison Brewing Co. and Shipwright Brewing Co. have collaborated to brew a brand new Bluenose Lager! Mark your calendars! March 27 is National Whisky Day and the official release date of Ironworks Distillery’s award-winning Heart Iron Whisky! The Whisky will be available online, in-store, and at market locations.

Around the World
Curated Food & Drink Magazine’s new international food festival and fundraiser for Feed Nova Scotia begins March 1 and will continue for the whole month. Participating restaurants are offering a selection of international dishes, so diners can circle the globe by trying various international cuisines, while supporting local restaurants!
