Nook & Cranny Brew Pub
Home of Truro’s largest patio, Nook & Cranny Brew Pub will be opening back up June 5! This is the perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather while indulging in some local food and drink!
The Ostrich Club
The Ostrich Club is now taking reservations for when they open June 5! They have worked hard on a safe floor plan and are very excited to have you return. Their menu consists of local produce with flavour inspirations from around the world. Reservations are now available on their website!
Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre
Time to set sail for a nautical adventure! Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre will be reopening June 19! They are proud to bring you newly renovated guest rooms with local artwork, stylish furniture and the same nautical flair that you’ve grown to love. That’s not all! As a bonus, they now have a new lobby and the Three Sheets Bar + Social, as well as a new menu designed by Director of Culinary, Chef Nathan Guggenheimer. Vacation awaits!
Rudder’s Seafood Restaurant & Brew Pub
The wait is over! Rudder’s Seafood Restaurant & Brew Pub is reopening its doors June 5 and they are so excited to see you. They will be following all necessary protocols, including limited seating. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for details! They’ll be open daily at 11:30 a.m.
Chanterelle Country Inn & Cottages
Chanterelle Country Inn & Cottages is officially open for business June 5! They are taking all protocols needed in order to keep their guests safe during this time. To book your stay you can visit their website or you can also stop by and visit their restaurant and screened in patio!
Trellis Café
Trellis Café is officially opening its doors Saturday June 6! Their hours will be 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. and they will be offering their full menu of delicious homemade and locally sourced meals.
Brooklyn Warehouse
Back and better than ever, the Brooklyn Warehouse will be opening their doors June 10 for lunch, brunch and dinner. Reservations, walk-ins and takeout will all be available! Their new hours are now Wednesday to Friday noon – 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Crystany’s Brasserie
Reopening June 5, Crystany’s Brasserie is available for dine-in and curb-side pick-up! Set times will be in place for dinner seating’s, which is set for an hour per table. Time to indulge in some delicious gluten-free local food & drink!
Schoolhouse Brewery
Just in time for patio season! Schoolhouse Brewery is back in session June 5 and they can’t wait to see you on their patio. Time to soak up the sun with a cold beer in hand!
Lane’s Privateer Inn
The coffee window is now open at Lane’s Privateer Inn Wednesday to Sunday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. You can order at the window or call ahead at 902-354-3456. They also have their full menu available for takeout Wednesday to Sunday, 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and their restaurant will be ready for dine-in June 5!
Gabrieau’s Bistro
It’s lobster time! Gabrieau’s Bistro is reopening June 5. Cooked markets are available Thursday to Saturday for $10 per pound. Call them at 902-863-1925 to pre-order and help support local fishermen. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for daily dinner specials!
The Shore Club Lobster Suppers
Craving lobster? The Shore Club Lobster Suppers is now offering contact-free lobsters with coleslaw and creamy potato salad for pickup only on Sundays! Announcements will be made on their website and Facebook page regarding updates and pickup times. Stay tuned!
Feature Recipe: Stuffed Pork with Apple & Sage
There’s nothing not to like about this week’s feature recipe, Stuffed Pork with Apple & Sage. This savoury dish features delicious local ingredients such as Ironworks Distillery’s apple brandy, local Gouda cheese, Nova Scotia Honeycrisp apples, Nova Scotia honey, and The Pork Shop’s applewood smoked bacon. You can pair this dish with a fresh salad, or with some produce that is in season such as asparagus, beet greens, fiddleheads, radish and sweet potatoes.
For a drink pairing, try a glass of fresh and sweet Wild Blueberry Lemonade, or have it on its own while out on the patio!
