To celebrate, we’ll be highlighting a Nova Scotia apple product, recipe, or producer each day throughout the month of September on our social media channels. Tourism Nova Scotia Ultimate Road Trip

Ultimate Road Trip

The Ultimate Nova Scotia Road Trip contest invites people to post photos of themselves enjoying one, or as many as possible, of 25 quintessential Nova Scotia activities – from whale watching to indulging in a bowl of Nova Scotia Seafood Chowder – for a chance to win an incredible local getaway.

To enter the contest, participants post photos on Facebook or Instagram of themselves enjoying activities featured on the contest scorecard with the hashtags #NSRoadTrip and #NovaScotiaNice. For each photo posted to social media using the hashtags, participants are entered to win the ultimate prize: a personalized trip including six nights/seven days anywhere in the province (as listed on NovaScotia.com). The more activities people take part in, the more chances they have to win.

Coldstream Clear Distillery is celebrating their fifth year in business on their new lounge and patio, this Saturday, September 12, 12 – 6 p.m. Enjoy cocktails, live music from River Bottom Band, wood fired pizza, birthday deals, prizes and more.

Pop-up Market at Avondale Sky Winery – September 12 – 13

Join Avondale Sky Winery in supporting local garlic growers on Saturday September 12, and Sunday September 13. Enjoy live music on Saturday from 1-3pm and pick up some garlic from Hawthorn Hill Farm, Halfway River Farm, and Turner Brook Garlic.

End of Summer Bash at Saltbox Brewing – September 19

Celebrate the last weekend of the summer with Saltbox Brewery at their end of summer bash! On September 19th from 8-10 p.m., they’ll be selling $5 16 oz. pints, hosting giveaways and dancing to music by DJ Danimal.

Wine and Food Tasting with Bishops Cellar and The Five Fishermen – September 22 – 23

What's Cooking

The Five Fisherman is pairing up with Bishops Cellar to host wine tastings with food provided by Chef Greg Balinget. On September 22nd and 23rd at 7:00pm The Five Fisherman will be taking guests on a tour of their menu. Seven courses with optional wines paired by Jordan Bulley of Bishops Cellar. Tickets are limited and cost $60 plus tax and gratuity and wine pairing for $30. Garrison & Stubborn Goat Beer Garden Oktoberfest – September 25 – October 4

This fall, Garrison Brewing Company is teaming up with the Stubborn Goat Beer Garden for 10 days of (COVID responsible) traditional German-style fun. The limited-time Oktoberfest menu will feature authentic German dishes as well as a LIMITED EDITION stein. The Swell Guys Oompah band will be giving afternoon performances on Saturday, September 26 and October 3.
