Strawberries, sunshine and summer! It’s officially summer when the first batches of local strawberries hit farmers’ market stands. Whether you’re savouring strawberries, celebrating local wines or enjoying a lobster roll overlooking the ocean on the Lobster Trail,  this summer is going to be a jam-packed with delicious activities.

June to October: Seafood Trails

Experience the province’s seafood like never before, with trail stops at restaurants and retail shops. It doesn’t get any fresher than this! Whether it’s a stop on the Chowder Trail, Lobster Trail, Oyster Trail, or Fish & Chips Trail, it’s time to let adventure out of its shell and truly get a taste of Nova Scotia.

July 28: Georges Island Lobster Dinner

June 23: Planters Ridge Anniversary

June: New Summer Menu at Morris East

Morris East has new pizzas – just in time for summer. Summer flavours range from a portobello and pecorino with fresh cream sauce to Hawaiian pizza with crispy pancetta and honey grilled pineapple.

June: Stay tuned for the opening of The Canteen‘s little C. This small take-out shop will be located next to the main Canteen location for your quick grab and go lunch.

July 5 to Aug 30:This two hour cruise is the ultimate Nova Scotian experience. Enjoy sailing, singing along to local music, and sampling Luckett Vineyard wines paired with delicious local seafood dishes.

July 2 to 9: It’s time for the 2017 Antigonish Highland Games and you’re all invited! Stop by nearby Taste members Main Street CaféSnow Queen or Gabrieau’s Bistro and fuel up before the games.

August 11 & 12: The Halifax Seaport Beerfest is back and with 110 producers discussing over 300 unique products, you won’t want to miss out. Taste members you’ll want to sample include: Boxing Rock Brewing CoBulwark Cider and Garrison Brewing Co.
